Deerlight was a little frantic, she was out alone in the forest, and Ashenlight was bound to be looking for her at this point. She was hoping and praying that she could make it back to camp ok. She got to her paws and began padding back to camp as quickly and silently as she could |

Mistypool was eating a squirrel ripping its legs off first then started to eat the chest, squirrel was her favorite prey. As Deerlight padded into camp she came over and guided her gently to the squirrel and asked her "do you want to eat together."

Deerlight made sure to keep the trembling inside her brain and she made sure to not actually tremble. She kept her breathing steady, "Sure, thanks Mistypool." Deerlight knew that Mistypool knew, but that didn't mean that she would make it obvious. She sat at the squirrel and began to eat, small bites at first but she figured that the only way she wouldn't tremble was if she would get some food in her system

Mistypool didn't want to ask what was wrong directly but she did put her flank to Deerlight's and she told her "you can tell me you know," then started to lick her friend on the ears and nuzzled her to show that she cared.

Her mind was kind of numb after what happened. She was surprised when she had realized that there was someone next to her. She flinched and was about to jump up when she realized who it was next to her and she sighed. "Hello, Mistypool," she said and only just then did she realized she hadn't swallow. The taste was familiar and she had to force herself to swallow and not spit it out immediately. She looked down at her paws and saw the squirrel sitting there, innocent and not at fault. 'No, it's my fault. All my fault. Why did I have to go after that squirrel?' Now, she was trembling, but only slightly. She could feel the scratch now. She turned her head and looked at Mistypool, "We went hunting. I left his sight, and he couldn't find me. I guess he didn't like that," she said, her voice faltering away by the end

"You were with him that's why," she hissed in annoyance "home many times do I have to tell you to stay away from him," as she said this she thought of her crush and said "do you actually love him like I do Sorrel." Then took another bite of squirrel and nuzzled her friends head.

Deerlight nodded, "I love him." She said it simply, matter of factly. It was as though she was trying to convince herself as well as Mistypool. She couldn't hear it though, she couldn't hear anything wrong with what she said

Deerlight purred. She didn't want to think about the scratch, she didn't want to think of anything that would make Ashenheart the bad guy. She turned her head to be facing slightly more towards Mistypool, "Thank you." Suddenly she realized she knew nothing of the illusive tom that her best friend claimed to love. "So," she said suddenly, changing the topic, "What is Sorrel like? Have you seen him again?"

"Yes i see him every once in a while but I've never told him I love him but I think he knows I like him," she meowed as she went into her thoughts drifting off a little bit thinking of him.

Deerlight smiled and nudged her with her shoulder, "Good, that makes me happy," she said, her voice warm. Mistypool really was her best friend, and she wanted nothing more than for her to be happy
