"Then we'll do some battle training." Slatestorm replied. Internally she was glad she didn't have to start off with teaching hunting techniques.
"That could be really fun!" Noisepaw exclaimed. "As long as they want to come along, I mean." A big group training session seemed great. They didn't respond to Peony's Palecloud comment - they weren't entirely certain what had happened with her and him, aside from the fact that Palecloud had came along on the patrol to Peony's twolegs.

Badgerheart nodded, glad to have the toms praise. Legend knew these tactics better than anyone, so he was pleased that his progress was sufficient. "Thank You, it's a tactic I can tell will take some practice, but could really be of benefit to my clan." Badgerheart meowed. The words came out a little bit roughly on his tongue. It's not that he had anything against Legend- he wasn't trespassing on their territory and he had valuable information to pass on... but Badgerheart couldn't help but feel an undertone of disappointment and anger at his clan for not providing an environment that encouraged toms like Legend to be a clan cat, while foolish warriors like Amberfang and Smokepatch were allowed to benefit without contributing anything. Remember Badgerheart, this is why you train in the Dark Forest. Soon, the clan will be rid of it's parasites and be returned to the strength it once had.. just be patient... Learn everything you can in the meantime.(Possibly we could plan a day where we could all be on? So far the DF people are me, Novi , @trinkets and possumstep . I'd be willing to plan to be on at a certain time to RP a battle training session. Maybe at the start of the next day, whenever we decide that should be? I know we're all kind of stuck in a bit of a limbo right now with Lynx and Nido not being able to get on much, since we can't make big moves in the plot without them...) (Also sweetclover1 were you still wanting Cloudypaw to be a DF trainee? I've tried to have Badgerheart interact with them a couple times but I just don't think you've seen. ) |

Ivypaw nodded in agreement. "Are you sure you don't want to come back with us?" He tilted his head to one side. Legend had lots the clan could learn, but it was still quite the trip to visit him. He seemed happy enough to share the techniques, but mastering them would take a while and not just because of the difficulty of the moves.
Legend chuckled slightly and shook his head. "I'm afraid not, little one." Naturally no one but Juniperfrost knew about his past. Even if it were Badgerheart who was the leader, Legend wouldn't be terribly keen on joining. The tom appeared to be a strong warrior, although he found it rather amusing when he'd been disappointed to see Ivypaw training with himself. Not that the warrior would say such a thing. Even if a leader was a good one, a cat with evil intent could easily fool them. It was why Legend refused to follow a leader he didn't have a say in choosing.

Palecloud shrugged with a sigh. "I don't even know. Sometimes friendships are made by one cat being attracted to the other in the first place... and other times the attraction comes after being friends with them for however long. It can come moons down the road and ruin relationships... It's sad to see honestly." He used one of his front paws to brush around some dirt. "It's confusing once you become a warrior what you're meant to do with your life. All I know so far is protect my clan and be as loyal as I can be to them. I also know to watch out for danger in the clan... I'd love to mention about Ivypaw and Badgerheart to Shadestar, but I doubt she'd give me a second thought..."

He laid his head down and covered his ears with his paws, letting out a small hiss. "Maybe I'm judging them too harshly? Maybe they're just creepy... But you know how all of those stories start... The creepy cats who show distaste for their own clan mates always turn out to be bad. I know what it's like to be upset with others for being lazy, I mean I've yelled a few ears off over it, but there's a difference. There's generally being upset at others for not doing more and then there is hate and such being shown in eyes and actions..." He huffed and closed his eyes. He felt that maybe he was feeling too much fear just because of old stories he heard and the creepy feeling the two toms gave off. Something just didn't seem right in the air around them and he couldn't place it.

Thornclover meowed in amusment at the small apprentice. "Oh, yes. Just barely an apperentice then. I'm more interested in hunting, I don't like fighting other cats." Thornclover was surprised that she liked to battle. She sounded so...Little.

"I care too much about you two to not try to warn you about that weird feeling. Do you wanna go out with the others? They seem to be interested in us and I'd like to go out hunting. Badgerheart's fur prickled, slightly annoyed at the apprentice. It wasn't his place to extend such an offer, especially with all of the rogues already clawing around the Twilightclan camp. Although Badgerheart wouldn't have been terribly sore to see Legend join, he had the feeling that the Tom was better off on his own. Especially considering the distaste he had already expressed for their traditions.
"Ivypaw, don't prod him. Legend doesn't need to join the clan if he doesn't want to" he meowed, looking sternly at the apprentice.
"But you have the right idea, some of us do have a clan we need to be returning to. The day is starting to grow old- let's practice a few more times if you desire and then be on our way" he said, then turned to Legend, his eyes meeting the loner's respectfully. "Ivypaw does have the right idea, though. You would make a fine warrior, Legend. I'll see to it that as long as you aren't making a habit of straying on our territory often that the clan does not bother you, since that is your wish."
He respected the tom, but he was still loyal to his clan in the end, and he didn't feel the need to extend a paw to any more cats who didn't have a respect for the warrior code. Twilightclan needed to be strong, yes, but it needed to be the right kind of strong. Warriors like legend didn't cut it in his mind.

(So because Lynx hasn't posted in 3 days and Nido hasn't been on in over a week, I'm going to unbookmark this thread since there's really not much activity involving me. If either comes back and the major plots start to move forward, just give me a poke and I'll come on back)
Ivypaw nodded. "Alright then..." They practiced a bit more until Ivypaw felt like he'd made some sort of advancement in his progress. He watched his mentor do pretty well too. Maybe learning new thngs quickly was a skill...After a quick bit of hunting in the area, Ivypaw lead the way back with a fat mouse in his jaws.
Legend watched them leave. He did often wonder about Juniperfrost. Could he still call her his mate? He wasn't entirely sure. But one of their kits looked like him. The thought warmed him and he turned and headed back into his den.
(just poofing Ivy and Badger back home)
