Leafwhisker's eyes clouded with sorrow as she saw the deputy's limp shape. She sat near the deputy's body, though at a distance where she could still listen to the meeting.
"Poppymist!" Leafwhisker cheered as the new deputy was announced. She thought that Poppymist was a good choice.
(I like the idea about the prophecy.)

Poppymist felt her cheeks grow hot with the cheers from her clan mates. She gave Firepool as smile as he congratulated her. "I suppose we should sit vigil for Ashfall", she remembered, her eyes straying to the limp body of the former deputy.

Goldshine returned to her deputy's body with Poppymist. "I think you'll make a great deputy," she consoled. " Ashfall would approve.

"That means a lot to me", Poppymist replied, her voice slightly choked up as she blinked at Goldshine gratefully "I hope you approve of me in your place", she thought to herself, wondering if Ashfall could somehow hear her. She curled her tail around her body as she laid down, and closed her eyes as stars sparkled in the sky.

Blazepelt somberly watched over the rogue, watching as his clanmates started the vigil.

(I'm going to skip to the morning, if that's okay with you guys? I feel like nothing much is happening rn)
Poppymist slowly began to stretch as the sun swept across the hazy morning sky. Birds chirped in the distance, singing a sweet song for all the forest to hear. She looked at her clanmates furry pelts clustered around Ashfall's body. "I guess I should get a hunting patrol started", the deputy thought to herself, still slightly flustered at the the thought of being in control of patrols. "Firepool, Leafwhisker, and Eaglepaw, I would like you all to go on a hunting patrol with me", she announced loudly, although her heart was beating fast inside her chest. Poppymist also noted to herself to visit the medicine den later, and check on the injured cats.

Jadepaw fainted again. But this time IT was different she wasnt dreaming. Oh No this felt too real. A cat emerged grom the sunligth witch stretched its beams through the field of grass in witch jadepaw was standing the cat had a starry pelt and a soft mew welcomed her "jadepaw" the starry cat Said "we have Long awaited you here in starclan" at this moment jadepaw had begun to freak out a little "a-am i dead" jadepaw stuttered. The starry cat let out a mrreaw of laugther "No you have come to receive a prophecy" the starry cat said. "S-so im not dead?" "NO YOU ARE ALIVE Great starclan Are you deaf. *sigh* the prophecy sounds (insert prophecy here) go home live well"

Firepool nodded to Poppyfrost. She stretched watching as her clanmates did the same. "We don't even have any elders left to burry him," she meowed, "None of them survived the journey."
Blazepelt stretched as well continuing his vigil, by keeping an eye on the rogue.

Eaglepaw woke up as he was called for patrol. He stretched his legs and smiled. "I could really use some time out of camp," he said, padding out to where the patrol was gathering.
Goldshine felt her kits stir inside her. I'm looking forward to having kits in a real nursery this time, she thought, remembering the harsh days of the journey, and the crude cave she had given birth to Eaglepaw and his siblings in. He had been the only to survive in his litter, and Goldshine had always been sure StarClan had allowed his life for a reason.

Poppymist nodded at Firepool and Eaglepaw with acknowledgment. She glanced over at the small fresh-kill pile, and frowned as she realized there were only two small mice. "The battle has left us weak, so we must restock the fresh-kill pile so that we can eat and regain our strength", the deputy reminded the gathering patrol.
