Leafwhisker looked at her surroundings as the patrol headed back to camp. No rogues in sight, she observed. Though this made her feel somewhat relieved, she couldn't brush off her worry about the cats in camp.

Poppymist lifted to her nose to the sky and took a deep whiff of the air. "I think I can scent the patrol! Flamestar is coming back!", she yowled, her tail twitching with excitement. The fluffy she-cat ran to the camp entrance.

Flamestar let out a sigh of relief when he spotted the bramble barrier surrounding the camp, though he soon realized that parts were trampled and destroyed. "Let's hurry up." He meowed. "It looks like they had a tough time."

Cloverleaf raised her head from her current work to face the muscular apprentice, "Oh, the patrol's back?" she said absentmindedly. She got to her paws, "Lead the--" then the tabby paused abruptly. "Did you say Jadepaw is injured?" Cloverleaf's green gaze starred at Lionpaw, rage burned deeply in her eyes.

Blazepelt called for his father's attention when the patrol entered camp. He wanted to discuss the rogue left in camp with Flamestar.
Firepool entered camp and stayed by her father's side. She was emotionally exshausted and hoped every cat had faired alright.
Pepplepaw was still unconscious as Cloverleaf began treating her.

As the patrol entered camp, Leafwhisker looked around. Some cats were injured, though she was glad to see that no cats were lying limply on the ground. Hopefully no one is injured too badly, she silently hoped.

Ashfall coughed from his blood soaked nest. He felt his blood flow out of his body, and shivered as his body began to shut down. I guess Flamestar didn't hear me.

Lionpaw questions her responcse up until when he saw the burning in her eyes. He looked away briefly, avoiding her gaze and answers, "Yes, Jadepaw. I don't really know what's wrong... But she is unconscious." He leads her to Jadepaw, and stares at the ground, perking his ears for what she will say.

Flamestar halted as he heard his name being called from multiple directions. He turned to the nearest cat, Blazepelt. "Blazepelt, how did the battle fare? is anyone severely hurt?"

Goldshine jogged up to Flamestar. "Ashfall is hurt,, he's bleeding out in the medicine den, you need to go see him," she said.

Goldshine watched Flamestar run off to the medicine den, a sad look in her eyes. "Do you think Ashfall's going to make it?" she asked her mate.

"I may look well enough, but I lost another life." He meowed. "What coward did this? Was it one of the rogues we've met before, or one of Rain's fox-hearted followers?"
"I think," Rainheart meowed solemnly, "That Ashfall's fate is in the paws of starclan. If they allow him to live, then we will be grateful that they spared his life to fight once again for his clan, but if he does not make it, Starclan will add another loyal warrior to their ranks. He has lived a full life. longer than most, I suppose, and he has done much to help this clan before, during, and after the journey, and to be honest, I would assume he has already given the idea of retiring to the elder's den some thought."

Firepool followed her father into the medicine den. She didn't plan on letting him out of her sight for a while.

Ashfall grunted, "It was Night herself, she attacked me in private behind the camp walls. I don't need you to avenge me, Flamestar, a rogue doesn't deserve a noble death at your claws." He looked out into the camp, seeing Firepool just outside. "Make sure you keep track of those kits of yours, it's what Goldenleaf would've wanted."

"Don't get me wrong, if he doesn't make it, we will lose an amazing warrior, but we haven't lost him for good. He'll be watching over this clan from above." Rainheart replied.
"Don't start talking like that." Flamestar meowed. "Cloverleaf will make sure you pull through and you'll be back to your duties as deputy. You have many more moons left in you."

Ashfall shook his head. "It's my time, old friend, take care of our Clan and take care of yourself," he said, a far off look in his eyes. He lifted his head to look one last time at Flamestar, before falling back down, his head hitting the den floor.

Firepool gave her father space while still keeping an eye on him. Then she spotted Pepplepaw in the corner unmoving. "No!," she cried rushing over.
