rat that's fine, thank you for telling me! also, there is a slight issue - Featherheart is Darkpaw's mentor, so you're going to have to change one of those characters.

(screen-name: Crescent character name: Blackfoot three personality traits: Serious, intimidating, loyal other: text here rp sample: Thump, thump, thump. His paws made a comforting sound as he ran, wind rushing through his fur. The sun hovered in the sky, an ever-watching eye giving warmth to the world. His breath came in, out, in, lungs working. Not the fastest it had been, but fast enough that there was somewhat of an effort. Blackfoot relished the feel of his muscles extending, how his pads felt against the grass as he flew by.
The tom glanced behind him, light green eyes flashing in the sun's warm rays. His eyes took in Nightpaw's stride, his effort. He contemplated the apprentice silently for several steps, calculating the effort his apprentice was taking and if he could handle more exertion. He decided against it; guards needed to have good stamina, and so he trained his apprentices in all areas, cardio, strength, flexibility. However, fighting skills were most important, and running was not their main focus. They were already traveling fast enough, and they had been running for a fair amount of time.
"Keep up," he said simply, with no encouragement or exhortation.
Blackfoot's training methods included no bells and whistles; he got the job done with as few words as possible. No extra praise or screaming, just good hard work. The apprentice either lived up to the task or didn't, and it they didn't they would keep trying until they did. That was his philosophy, and it worked in his experience.
At last the two toms neared the Grasslands. Blackfoot allowed himself to slow to a trot. He looked out across the gold-green grass blanketing the endless expanse, dusted with the gold of afternoon light. A gentle breeze tickled his pelt for a moment before darting away again. Blackfoot turned to face Nightpaw, serious as usual. He drew a long furrow in the ground with his claws without a word. Then he backpedaled about three fox-lengths and did the same.
The tom looked at Nightpaw. "Jump," he said with a flick of his tail, and then demonstrated what he meant. "Like this."
He strode over to place his muscular form beside Nightpaw. Taking a few quick steps and stopping just before he crossed the line. His momentum carrying him, he used his well-defined haunches to push himself up and off the ground. His legs extended, launching himself forward to land behind the opposite furrow. "You are done when you do this three times," he informed Nightpaw and then sat down to watch. )

Cedarpaw frowned at the meagre offerings on the pile. "I agree. She should have fresh prey." Nightpaw was correct in saying that neither of them were hunters, although Cedarpaw thought that between them, they stood a reasonable chance of catching something. The other apprentice was also correct in saying that their mentors wouldn't know where they were. "Perhaps," he ventured, "if we just stay close to the camp, we'd be ok, since we'd be able to hear them call for us. Maybe we'd even get lucky and find a mouse or two near the entrance! I'm sure Rosefall would appreciate it." He added. "and our mentors would be pleased with us showing initiative." [ it's no problem! :) im kinda poofy myself today ] Nightpaw's ears perked. "Good thinking Cedarpaw!" he chirped. " And if there isn't anything near the entrance, there might be something in one of the caves." He felt much better with that decision and looked forward to trying something new. He hoped that between the two of them they caught something wonderful. Surely greenleaf would be on their side? He bounded over to the camp entrance and looked over his shoulder to make sure he and Cedarpaw were truly agreed before slipping outside. The bright sunlight made him blink rapidly and he took those moments to scent the air. Prey scent was faint under the scent of the clan. So which direction should they go? "What do you think?" he whispered, as if there was a mouse barely three pawsteps away that would be frightened by normal speech. "Split up or try and catch something as a team?" Nightpaw was vaguely certain in his lack of hunting skill, so it was mainly a question of flailing by himself or heavy-pawed with another clanmate.

[ Hello, new members! ]
Cedarpaw followed the older apprentice outside the camp, enjoying the feeling of freedom. He was still amused by the fact that, as an apprentice, he could leave the camp unsupervised. A shiver of excitement raced down his spine. The young cat tasted the air, struggling to identify the scent of prey. "I think we should stay together," he suggested. "I'm fast - if we can track something down, I can chase it to you so you can catch it." He vaguely remembered Mousestep describing hunting techniques to him once, but he had et to practice anything in detail. Laying an ambush, however, seemed like it stood a chance of working. "Can you smell anything?" His voice dropped to a whisper as he moved forward to stand beside his companion, matching Nightpaw's hushed tone.

Frogpaw couldn't help giving a little excited bounce. Prancing around in a small circle. At that moment, she looked as if she were an impatient kit at their apprentice ceremony. Would Lizardnose and Grasspelt teach her to make traveling herb packages? Ooh, the small brown she-cat was dying to learn something new today. So far she'd learned all the important herbs and how to handle check-ups on queens, kits, and elders. Learning to make traveling herbs wasn't something she was exactly dying to learn, but it was still something. Better than sorting and throwing out older herbs all day, and trying to soothe her mentor with his stress on the prophecy.
At this point, Frogpaw was itching to leave. Though she still knew they weren't leaving any time today. Patience is the key Frogpaw. What would your father say if he saw you prancing around here like some kit? She'd be scolded like one just as well. And she couldn't risk it, not today, not again.
The young medicine cat then dipped her head to the two cats. "If that's all, I'd wish to leave this conversation now." It'd be rude for her to just walk away, besides these cats were looking up to her for the future. First impressions were always important.

I have Suntail, and now, maybe, Frogpaw open if that helps anyone :3

[ im so sorry ;-; im working on an orientation thing and it's taking hours ] Nightpaw nodded. "Good plan," he meowed quietly. He scented the air once more - was that a hint of mouse to the side there? "I think I smell something!" he whispered in excitement and pointed his ears in that direction. He edged forward cautiously and remembered to put his paws down lightly so the ground wouldn't vibrate, or at least to a lesser degree. He scented the air and yes, the smell was stronger! He stayed put though in accordance to their plan, unsheathing his claws in preparation for a catch.

[ rat alright, its changed now. Crowfoot, rped by wildsongπ§ , will be his mentor Scorpionheart;; (Nightsinger ) The calico she-cat laughed and continued on their path to the lake, noting how everything looked completely normal; maybe she was right about the prophecy being false. "It could be a compliment or an insult, depending on your opinion of Yelloweyes," Scorpionheart said over the wind racing around her ears. The previous deputy had been her mentor and it his death had affected her greatly. Ever since his passing her moods had been getting worse and worse and it wasn't unusual now for her to be cold to her betters.
Grousestar;; (wildsongπ§ ) Grousestar purred in affection at the tiny apprentice and nodded her approval. "You may go now, Frogpaw." She would need to talk to Foxtuft soon and tell her about how well she had raised her daughter.

[ no worries! Take your time c: ]
"I smell it too!" Cedarpaw gasped excitedly. Once night paw was in position, he dropped into a clumsy crouch and slowly circled around, excitement building as the scent grew stronger. Was that the mouse, under that twitching leaf? Slowly, the young tom edged forward. He'd only get one chance - he'd have to time his leap perfectly in order to scare the creature into running in the direction he wanted it to go. Double-checking Nightpaw was ready, he tensed his muscles. Here goes nothing...
Cedarpaw leapt, paws slamming down onto the hard-packed ground, either side of the trembling leaf. Yes! His heart soared as the mouse took off, heading straight for Nighpaw. Come on, Nightpaw, you can do it!

Lizardnose stalked out of the medicine den, shaking out his pelt once he had more room. He sniffed, blinking a few times, then padded over to Grousestar, sitting down next to the leader again. "I don't know when we're leaving, but I have herbs set aside in my den. I told Crowfoot to spread word to the other heads, but who knows if she actually listened." He let out a soft scoff, flicking his ear towards the black she-cat, who had managed to arrange another patrol to start heading out.
Foxtuft's tail flicked behind her, eyeing Frogpaw from a distance as she spoke to the leader. There was a small smile on her face as she watched, before she yawned and rose to her paws, turning her head to look at the patrol leaving the camp, debating whether she should leave with them or not.

(Um, was there any reason Blackfoot and Grousestar split? I feel like that would be some drama if you wanted to RP them together.)
Rabbitwhisker padded into camp, lugging her namesake animal to the fresh-kill pile. The prey was quite large, as she was a rather talented hunter and it had taken some effort to carry it all the way back by herself. The she-cat dropped the rabbit dramatically onto the heap, hoping someone would notice how large it was and perhaps congratulate her. Rabbitwhisker never minded being praised; that was what she loved most. She looked over, quite smug at the catch. She had just been to the Grasslands to catch it, and she had gone alone to concentrate, which had paid off. The pretty she-cat grabbed a small mouse in her mouth and glanced around, hoping to spot a clan mate to talk to.

Grousestar;; (wildsongπ§) Grousestar's tail tip twitched as Lizardnose spoke and she nodded after he finished. "Very well. I'll be having a council meeting in my den in a few minutes so if she didn't already tell them, they'll find out anyway," she meowed in an authoritative tone. After that she said a quick goodbye to her medicine cat and padded over to Frogpaw's mother. "Good morning, Foxtuft."

Brightblaze padded from her den, gaze narrowed against the rising sun. It was shaping up to be a beautiful day, she mused. Noting Grousestar and her senior worries clustered together, the guard perked her ears in interest. Perhaps the leader was going to make an announcement. The camp was busy, she noted. it was impossible to tell if everyone was up slightly earlier than usual, or if she'd overslept. She hoped it was the former. Spotting Rabbitwhisker by the fresh-kill pile, the black she-cat wandered over. "Morning." She yawned. Perhaps she'd have time for a quick bite to eat before patrols.

Foxtuft turned her head to Grousestar, deciding her patrol could wait until later. "Hello." She purred, dipping her head slightly. "I saw Frogpaw with you a few moments ago. I hope she wasn't being too much of a bother." She chuckled slightly, blinking and letting her tail rest behind her.

Grousestar;; (wildsongπ§ ) The red she-cat let out a small mrrow of laughter and shook her head. "Not at all. She's just at the stage where she has a lot of questions. Believe me, she's no worse than Bearpelt and Rabbitwhisker were," Grousestar said honestly. "But you raised her very well, Foxtuft. She's extremely polite and I don't doubt that she'll have her full name within a few moons."

Sunstep lay crouched beside an overhanging rock. One of his paws tucked neatly beneath his chest while the other was firmly holding down a mouse as he ate his breakfast. The ginger-furred tom didn't plan on going on any hunting patrols, not right away anyways. He'd spent quiet a long time out yesterday on a solo hunt. Though he didn't do much hunting, more like dazing up at the sky and enjoying his surroundings. It was one explanation as to why there weren't much prey on the fresh-kill pile. But oh well, I'm not the only hunter in the world. Someone else is bound to be willing to hunt this morning.
And maybe he was speaking a bit too soon. The tom watched as Rabbitwhisker padded to the pile with an outstanding rabbit. He couldn't help giving a snort of disapproval before taking another bite of his mouse. Would he ever win? It seemed not. Everything he said seemed to be thrown in his face. It was as if StarClan wanted his mood to lighten. But as much as they tried, he would always be his sarcastic and bad-natured self.
