( I'm just assuming the awful smell is either Meiko (since she most likely smells like the city) or a bakeneko. Are they all that deep in the Bamboo Trail? :0 )
( And just a reminder, please don't start another plot unless it's been approved by me! )
Kai & Hayakawa & Hanako | Tags; Rin, Hatsumomo, Akira, and Kotone | Bamboo Trail Kai's nose twitched again. The same scent from earlier filled the air, but it was very faint. It's that smell again...where is it coming from? We're nowhere near the city... She looked around with observant oculars, but there were no other cats around. She assumed that most of her Clanmates were here already, but surely they couldn't have gone that far? Her fur prickled with unease; she hoped that they were okay.

Yoru sniffed the air. He thought he saw a bakeneko's tail. It was probably him just seeing things again. "It's probably just some rotting prey. Let's keep going. I think the stream is up ahead."

Yoru looked about the area. It seemed that many bakeneko were watching them. "It might be just me, but it appears that many bakeneko are watching us. Then again, bakeneko always follow me around. They must think I'm one of them or something." Yoru said, looking at his long tail.

salt & leopardfire;; ( Are you guys wanting to RP a side plot with the bakeneko? If you want to, just let me know first. I'm not try to stop you guys from RPing, but it's...a bit unfair if you play out your own plot and only you guys know what you're doing. ^_^" )
( And just a note; there aren't...really THAT many bakeneko in the Bamboo Trail. Kitsune are much more popular. There are many more in Nageki no Mori, which is far south of the Bamboo Trail. )

They think that he's a bakeneko too. That's why there's so many in the area. And if I wanted to do a side plot, my only idea is that the bakeneko try to make Yoru so sick that it kills him, and he becomes a bakeneko. That's their plan, anyway. *evil laugh*)

[ Izumi | Path to Hanasaki Valley ]
Lambent effulgence sieved through the prolific boscage’s screening, outwardly assuming the impression of a brise-soleil. Aforementioned, subdued refulgence pirouetted about the grimalkin’s silver-brocaded fleece, begetting it to almost seem variegated.
The intoned avifaunas, the susurrations of fronds’ cotyledons, and all-embracing stifled zephyrs made for a copacetic milieu. The feminine reveled sub rosa in this quintessential hurst, albeit the comportment lingered for only a transient interlude.
Paws gained unexacting purchase atop the verdurous topography and, because of this, stygian ungues carried on being tucked away within their respective scabbards.
Plaint, whipcord of a tail undertook seemingly spontaneous oscillates, as though too frangible to shield from the ludic gales. Whether it was volitional or not, the phlegmatic, grandiose molly’s lineaments evinced nothing but inscrutableness.
[Mwuahahaha, muse is back up!]

Tarou | Tags; Izumi | Hanasaki Valley Instantaneous celerity slowed to a adequate quiescence as the two felines made their meridional transition from the camp's sentineled locus. Natural sunlight filtrated through the arboresques, causing daubs of incandescence to illuminate the tyro's umber pelage. Vibrissa on aforesaid fur glowed with various kaleidoscopic colors; albescent light outlined each and every one. Viridescents segued skyward as the riotous perennials overhead transubstantiated from green verdure to soft pink petals.
His pedagogue seemed to be set on only the endeavor at hand. No sign of emotion or inquisitiveness lit her gaze nor her physique. While the vernal Tarou would rather stay in the preceding valley just to gaze at the rimed, to-be blossoms, Izumi obviously had other plans in mind, and was not interested in flower-watching. Not in the very slightest.
Paws ultimately reaching their finis, supple torso leaned forwards to outface the small valley below. Sakura trees, full of fresh, frost-covered burgeons awaited below, although some of the flowers had bloomed lang syne, and were blowing their soft petals throughout the enveloping afternoon zephyr. Sinew shuddering excitedly beneath sienna, tiger-striped pelage, the tyro uttered two locutions:
"Down there."
Without waiting for his sensei's actions, the young apprentice raced down the slope of the dale apace, unguises lacerating the fertile soil and grass underpaw. Pawsteps hurried, limbs carrying the youthful masculine down into the valley. He knew very well that he was obligated to wait for his sensei, however, the the masculine simply could not help himself when it came to this certain type of flora.

[ Sorry for my absence! Three new video games came out in the past ... two days, so I've been pretty distracted.
It's like I'm reading a thesaurus lol... not that that's a surprise or anything, I've seen people do that before in rps haha.
Anyways, this is my placeholder for my rp replies, once I'm done playing Fire Emblem I'll start them asap! ^^ note: I couldn't tell if the minarai hunting group was still together or not, so I just kind of went with it haha. In the last post, it seemed as if they separated so... yeah c': ]
Kotone with [ Ao, Akane, Akira, Hatsumomo, Hanako, Kai, and Rin ] // Bamboo Trail
Upon arriving at the Bamboo Trail, Kotone's tail hung high in the air as she glanced around excitedly. The she-cat didn't pay much attention to the lecture from the more experienced samurai, though her ears did twitch at their words. It sounded like they were talking about the dangers of bakeneko and kitsune. But all SakuraClan cats knew that already, and Kotone figured there was no need to listen to a lecture she'd heard a thousand times over. Still though, the idea of ever actually coming face-to-face with those creatures... it was completely foreign to her. Like that would ever happen... right? Perhaps it would do to be more careful after all. At Hatsumomo's question, Kotone finally stopped looking around to stare at her fellow minarai. The other she-cat didn't seem to take the threat of bakeneko and kitsune spirits very seriously, if at all. "Well I'll be careful," she declared cheerfully and confidently to the other cats. Now that that was out of the way, it was time to start hunting.
As she drifted away from the group, the molly's mind became distracted with thoughts of who her sensei would be. Any sunrise now, she was sure Lady Akiko would announce the ceremony and appoint her a sensei... Rin-san seemed to be a pretty easygoing she-cat, maybe she would make a good mentor? The little she-cat paused momentarily as scents filled the air. Prey was far from scarce in this territory, that was for sure. As she lowered herself slowly into the hunting crouch she'd been taught, her eyes glanced around the area near her. How terrifying it would be if she did end up running into one of the frightening spirits of the forest. Well... her clan mates weren't far, so surely they'd help out if she did come by one, right?
Ruri with [ Arata and Daisuke ] // Clearing
At Arata's words, Ruri tried to relax herself. The she-cat was still pretty uncomfortable with being around toms other than her brother, but they seemed nice enough to her... though the same definitely could not be said about their treatment towards each other. His acceptance to her offer to go hunting together, though, caused a small smile to emerge onto her features. "G-great!" she managed to say, stuttering only once. Hunting with other cats, even cats she barely knew, always made the festival preparations more fun and interesting. "And oh... I understand, I think." The she-cat nodded at his words. So they were just messing each other, and weren't actually upset or anything. That made sense. Still, it would make her life, and the lives of their den mates, easier if they stopped messing with each other inside the samurai's den in the morning. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to make a big deal out of nothing," she meowed apologetically.
She watched the tom eat his rabbit, ears twitching. "Okay, how about we leave after you've finished eating?" she suggested quietly before glancing around the camp. Perhaps there were a few idle cats laying around that might be willing to go hunting with them too. Ruri had seen a few of the other samurai leading a group of minarai out for some hunting earlier, but there still might be a few other cats who hadn't left yet that could come. Everyone had to pitch in equally to help prepare for the sakura matsuri after all. It was perhaps the most important of all the celebrations that the clan held, and for good reason too. Just the thought of it made the normally shy she-cat's smile grow wider.

Kai & Hayakawa & Hanako | Tags; Rin, Hatsumomo, Akira, and Kotone | Bamboo Trail Pleased at Kotone's enthusiasm, a smile graced upon Kaihime's muzzle. "Alright. Now that that's over with, you all can separate now. Remember to stay together, and don't lose sight of us!" With that final reminder that slipped off her tongue, Kaihime and Hayakawa turned tail to walk down the stone path of the trail.
Finally, we can go! Hanako's small legs carried her past the older samurai and over to Kotone, who was somewhat already ahead of her. The warnings about the dangers was still very fresh in the back of her young head, but she didn't fret too much. After all, they weren't even that deep in the forest to begin with, and the Bamboo Trail was a pretty large area.
Rather than rushing off to the hunt, however, the white feminine took time to absorb the grand tranquility of the place. The thin, segmented green stalks waved in the air in synchronized motion; it was a very hypnotic sight to view, and Hanako could subconsciously feel her gait slowing as she gazed upon them. The afternoon incandescence sieved through the thin leaves, splotching the ground below with patches of refulgent yellow light. The twittering and chattering of distant avifauna graced her eardrumss, and the smell of prey, leaves, and outdoors left her breaths deep. "It's so pretty here..." She whispered to no one in particular. "I've never been here before."
Arata & Daisuke | Tags; Ruri | Clearing "Sure." Arata licked his chops and then shook a paw at her, gnawing gingerly at the lapine's bones before sitting back up. "Ah, you're fine," he replied casually. It was odd; he actually felt calm and unagitated for once, striking up a civil conversation. Huh. Perhaps he should try to be more genial towards others. Er...well, he'd kind of already established that...
Rather, it was Daisuke whom he had to worry about. It never, ever crossed his mind that they were constantly annoying everybody, no matter where they went. Nothing could get done became they were the center of attention, and never in a positive sense. Guess I should apologize to Dai. Arata thought, raising his eyes - and only his eyes - to meet Daisuke's imposing countenance. He's my bud after all... Have we ever even apologized to each other before? Perhaps once or twice, but it usually didn't mean anything. It was time for sincerity.
Daisuke, in the meantime, was swiftly finishing off the remains of a young squirrel, absently listening in to Ruri's speech. After she'd finished, the obsidian male finally spoke, a gentle smile turning up the corners of his labials. His cadmium-colored eyes glittered as they locked with Ruri's momentarily. "That would be nice." Already, he had assumed a standing position, as if ready to depart camp. The sakura matsuri was going to be absolutely spectacular, but it couldn't happen without hard workers! Puffing out his chest, the large tom's black nose twitched as a lone cherry petal floated gently down onto it. Daisuke stifled his sneeze as the petal was carried off into the air again from the involuntary reflex.
( Ruri is so cute~ I love her. cx )

Aoi, Haruki & Ayame
The pulchritudinous female prolongated, her maxilla parted in a yawp. Removing herself from the queer position, she traisped from the creche, oculars shining with new aurora light. "Hello kits, time to wake up." The predecessor told her kits. Two shapes floundered in their nest. "Why mother? It isn't even sunhigh yet!" Haruki, the eldest, whined. With a rotation of her oculars, the synthetic cat sighed, "Haruki, it's past sunhigh."

[ Izumi | Hanasaki Valley ]
Nether jowl congealed parabolically with deprecation; rather wroth by the neophyte’s jejune gall. It was reverent - percipient even - to sanction a more competent individual foremost promenade into unplumbed topography. In this manifestation, however, this terra firma was known, coalesced thoroughly into the Japanese sept’s fief. But it still didn’t guarantee welfare, especially with the umpteen agglomeration of lallygagging predators.
Aesthetically chiseled paws instigated their according frame to effectuate a ‘blithe’ perambulate down into the glen, contemporaneous choler physiognomy visored underneath the molly’s wonted, indecipherable niqab.
The eminence was trivial in regards to vertiginousness, ipso facto her descent came fairly perfunctory. Visual musculatures maneuvered within their hollows, heeding the locus with a honed stare. Noting nothing out of the ordinary, she anon administered her traipse toward the tyro.
Svelte cranium upheaved, aegeans ardent with supremacy. Fleece would have horripilated if not for her equanimous bearings, to which the rationale behind her seemingly contemporary phlegmatic disposition.
“Tarou.”
Her timbre connoted something inimical, amplified more by the detail she’d failed to annex his honorific, ‘kun.’ Conspicuously divergent to this tonality was her front which remained inscrutable. Vocables oozed through her jowls, establishing an unwelcoming query,
“Why did you venture off without my consent?”
[So I’ve noticed Moon! Which I’m actually quite glad for - since sometimes, I can write up a paragraph like the one above, to be responded with like, a one-liner. It’s really fun to RP with you ^^. And uh oh, someone's in trouble :0]

Tarou my child Why you disobey )
Lady Akiko | Tags; Aoi, Haruki & Ayame (??) | Under the Cherry Trees Inspiration flowed softly out of the female sachem's half-ajar maw in what one would call a sigh. Slanted cadmium eyes with eyelids rimmed in bright red slid over like oozing oil as the majestic female scanned an icy gaze over her proud sept. Eardrums caught sound of a young mother attempting to encourage her reluctant children out of the nursery. Inwardly smiling, although the expression reached her face by the narrowest of margins. Children and young grimalkins were not a strong point for the lady, as she had never had any experience with them. She didn't even bear Lord Kotarou any kittens; no heir, nor heiress. She breathed another nostalgic inspire as her eyes spied the little wiggling figures not too far away.
Tarou | Tags; Izumi | Hana Valley Too caught up in his giddy excitement to see the perennial blossoms, Tarou abruptly froze at a sharp yowl from the top of the flora-clad glen. Black rosettes upheaved upon hearkening the sharp tonality from not too far above. His pedagog almost always addressed him with the respective honorific, but at those infrequent times when he had disobeyed her, she would drop aforementioned title altogether. It was never a good sign, as it always indicated that he had done something against her rules. Fur horripilating along his neck, spine, and now bushed tail, Tarou made his way up the slope and then beside his master.
He did not dare to look directly into her eyes. Those strange ocular devices...they had a tranquil mystery about them, like a cool tributary flowing over stone. When she was angry, however, they popped and crackled like a conflagration. He turned around so that he was facing his sensei - although the motion did not reach his declived head - and, as if taking great care at get every minuscule detail correct, he bowed. It was not a regular dip-of-the-head bow, either. Tarou leaned his upper body downwards, whipcord tail low between his raised legs, and bent one of his paws backwards as he descended. His chin nearly touched the grassy loam underpaw. Filling his lungs with a deep intake of flowery air, the naive novice attempted to conceal a stutter.
"Izumi-sensei... I should not have bounded away like that prior to you giving instruction, and I sincerely apologize."
Oh, no. Here he went again.
The ripe novice always overdid his apologizes with self-guilt and submission. Although his apologies, no matter whom received it, were very much sincere, the overdone respect was the portion that made it excessive. "Please punish me however you see fit."
That statement wasn't an order or command of any sort, only further evidence of his loyalty and immensely respectful attitude. His musculature quivered beneath his pelt, an obvious sign of his fear. He couldn't bring himself to look directly at her, lest he feel even more guilty by staring into those beauteous aegeans.

Lady Akiko | Tags; Aoi, Haruki & Ayame | Under the Cherry Trees Sepia sinistral ear flicked once, twice. Akiko nicitated at hearkening her title being called from afar, lifting her chin just slightly as the family slowly retired from the rocky den. Catching a glimpse of an enthusiastic Ayame, a gentle Aoi, and young Haruki, who trembled fearfully under her authoritative grandeur, the daimyo paused for a short interval before giving the three felines a mere fraction of a greeting nod. Her eyes narrowed, not as to frighten them, but as if...scrutinizing them, almost. As a very observant feminine, the lady had clear oculars that may have been tainted by emotional pain, but were as sharp as an eagle swooping down from even the greatest heights to pinpoint a single rodent.
