capriccio, dawnmoss ;; ( Okay! Thanks for letting me know you're still here, guys. I was going to mark those who haven't posted as of late as inactive, but I didn't want to remove anyone on purpose. Life can get messy, and there may not be time for letting me know you can't roleplay. But please don't let me delete you by mistake! ;o; )
misty;; ( True, true~ When I'm writing a story, however, I tend to use mord regular words, as it'll immediately turn into a wall of prose. ;o; But I do like those words; it's fun looking for synonyms and finding out what they truly mean!
Tarou is too pure Too good for this world <333 I love how he's excessively respectful and self-condemnation when he does something wrong; he literally treats everyone around him as if they were higher-ups, no matter who it is. X'D )

Tarou | Tags; Izumi | Hana Valley The probationer ceased his wavering, although his fleece still cantilevered throughout his dichromatic, chestnut-washed pelage of which he ained. Rising from his gesticulative bow, he forced himself to look up, almost inspiring a sigh of relief when he noted his teacher's emotionless expression. However, he felt a notion that her ichor was probably seething from his disobedient actions. Well, at least a retribution wasn't anticipating him. This time. He felt as if he had dishonored the gods themselves.
Tarou would have to learn to keep his jubilation and inquisitiveness suppressed; if it got out of hand, then peradventure he would find himself in bigger trouble than preliminary to the light chastise that he'd been presented with in the immediate past. At her words, he responded only with a minuscule declivity of his small crown, this time paying taking her instruction into count. However, rounded forepaws did not supersede from their current locus; not without his preceptor's inceptive action beforehand. Then, and only then, would he accompany in her pawsteps down the the flush pink vale below.
Lady Akiko | Tags; Ayame, Haruki & Aoi | Under the Cherry Trees The grandiose lady's cranium inclined into a lateral sort of comportment, her eyelids slowly narrowing as she mulled over the minor's question. Then, in due course, the sovereign parted her pink lips to speak words in response to Ayame's enquiry. "I do believe I find koi fish to be my favorite. They're majestic, elegant, beautiful creatures with a...a succulent taste that is sure to dazzle the senses. Sometimes I simply go to the river and just stare at them as they swim through the waters." At the mention of the precise fish, she envisaged a limbless, aquatic vertebrate. Lithe, pure white, delicately painted calico-printed scales that glistered under the sun, dragon-like whiskers protruding from its muzzle. It wriggled in the shallow depths of a cool inlet, curtain-like tail waving behind it like silk.

[@Moon Ah ha, same! I make sure I'm completely normal during stories as I wouldn't want an overly perplexed reader which would tire from words like the ones I use ! He's so cute amgggg ; ;! Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask you but, is Akiko Tarou's mother? I've seen she apparently never had kits, yet I'm very attentive to little detail such as the two having some sepia on their coats and the fact Akiko taught him honorifics [Quote: "Akiko had taught him how to greet his authority figures using traditional Japanese speech and honorifics."] I was just wondering since I personally think that would be quite a cool twist ^^]

( I think I'll actually reply in this post since there's a new page and my last post is on the previous one xD. I'll get on these replies right after I eat. But yeah, life has been kind of busy with college stuff, but I'm less busy now. I honestly think I was waiting on replies or something and just didn't post that I was here ^^ ) Akira | Tagging: Hanako, Kotone, Hatsumomo, Rin, Kaihime, HayakawaAfter the little hunting party had arrived in the Bamboo Trail, Akira had listened attentively with his cerulean eyes wide with intrigue and ears pricked and alert as Kai had warned them about the sorts of creatures they might see here. He'd heard of these kinds of predators, naturally, but had never seen one himself and to be quite honest, he was a tad bit curious. Well, he would definitely be sure to remember what the samurai told him to do if the group saw one - he was curious and perhaps a bit impulsive and hasty at times, but he liked to think that he was certainly not stupid enough to try to confront one. Based off of what Kai had said, they sounded pretty dangerous. The little Angora nodded enthusiastically to indicate that he had been paying attention and he was going to listen to the samurai's words, before bounding away from the group, following after Kotone and Hanako, who were already ahead of him.
As he passed by Hanako, however, Akira couldn't help but overhear his fellow minarai complimenting the scenery, and the little tom turned to glance at her curiously."You haven't?" he echoed her last words, slightly surprised. True, she was a bit younger than him, but he'd figured she'd at least have been here once before since becoming a minarai. "Sure, it's pretty here, but I think the camp will look prettier when it's all decorated for the sakura matsuri," he commented, taking in their surroundings. He'd never been the type to be impressed by appearances, but now that Hanako mentioned it, the trail did look pretty in a way, he supposed.Rin | Tagging: Kaihime, Hayakawa, Hatsumomo, Kotone, Akira, Hanako "Also, if you're having trouble or something, feel free to ask for help!" Rin added enthusiastically with a bright smile, watching as the minarai started to leave before turning to follow her fellow samurai. She was actually pretty sure Akira wouldn't go to anyone for help no matter how much he struggled, but the others seemed pretty friendly in comparison and she had decided that she'd quite liked them. "Well, they certainly seem enthusiastic, don't they?" she asked Kai and Hayakawa, before adding excitedly, "I hope we get to be senseis soon - I bet we'd all make for good teachers!" She actually wasn't sure how she'd really fare teaching anyone, but the prospect seemed exciting and fun to her. Besides, most of the minarai seemed vivacious and full of life, which was a characteristic Rin greatly enjoyed seeing in others, no less herself. "Now, how about that tree-climbing fun we discussed? I'm fine hunting too, of course!"

[ I finished all the video games that I mentioned in my last post haha, so I should be more active to reply now. Sorry about my frequent absences. I'm only going to write a reply for Ruri for now, I don't really want to write a post about Kotone hunting alone. xD Also thank you for the compliment on Ruri, Moon ;A; ]
Ruri with [ Arata & Daisuke ] // Clearing
Ruri felt herself relax a little more at Arata's words. "O-okay!" she meowed more cheerfully, happy that she would be able to go out hunting with the two toms. Sure, they tended to argue too often and annoyed their fellow samurai, but they seemed kind otherwise... maybe she could become friends with them someday. Kamui was always telling her it was important to make more friends in the clan after all, but she'd always been too shy to get to know any other cat very well. As the little she-cat waited for Daisuke and Arata to finish eating, her thoughts drifted to the sakura matsuri again. Such a festive occasion even had the normally introverted she-cat all excited. Hunting was normally a rather dull duty, especially for the festival since they had to do it practically all day, but this time she'd have company in the form of the two toms. It could prove... fun maybe?
As she daydreamed, out of the corner of her green eyes did Ruri see the cherry petal floating onto Daisuke's nose. It shook her out of her thoughts as she turned to watch his reaction, a smile flitting onto her face as it looked like he was about to sneeze even though he didn't. "The sakura trees are very beautiful, don't you think so?" Ruri observed in her naturally quiet tone. Sure, the trees weren't exactly a rare sight to see in SakuraClan territory, but the upcoming festival had caused the she-cat to appreciate the beauty of the cherry blossom trees even more than she usually did. Perhaps she was just being sentimental though.

misty;; ( Hehe, you're right!
I love my little bab~ ;u; Oh. My. Gosh. That would be an AMAZING plot twist! They wouldn't even know they were related! *gasps* But I'm thinking about what their relationship would be. He'd probably be more inclined to be her grandson or nephew, seeing as - if he was her son - he'd need a more golden tint to his fur so he looks a little more like her. I'll think about that though; great suggestion! <3 )
capri;; ( Ahh, I understand; work comes first, though! Do take your time; no rush. c: )
dolce;; ( Haha; glad you finished! cx I'm sure they were fun. Yeah, Hananko is just mumbling to herself and admiring the scenery right now. And you're welcome! Shy, cute characters always appeal to me. ^///^
I'll reply to that in a bit! )

Lady Akiko | Tags; Ayame, Haruki & Aoi | Under the Cherry Trees, Nursery "A...snake?"
To the extent of her understanding on the subject, Akiko knew that there were no snakes to be found anywhere in SakuraClan's vast dominion. So the event of discovering one most surely surprised her. In a solitary, fluid motion, the grandiquolent female rose to her delicate paws, directing her treads to the interior of the créche. Well, she said it was small and harmless... We shall see.
Ducking under the enclosed rock, Akiko peered around; sol sieving from the fissures above made for adequate illume. It took her interval to locate the slithering form of a ophidian, but her ever-so observant ocular devices caught its glimmering orange scales in the streaks of white sun. "It is only a hibakari; Japanese keelback." And a neonate one, at that. No bigger than a small branch. Had it been bigger, the young kittens would have been in a great hassle. Well, they would probably be scared, at all events; seeing as this particular snake possessed no poisonous toxin in it's fangs.
Calculative stare transforming her lineaments, she slunk forwards, thin shoulders protruding in undulating waves from their position on her upper back. Every step she took, every fibre of muscle in her limbs, was inaudible. The interlude that passed was timed and brief; then, with a bunch of her supple hinds, the Siamese lunged forwards in a single, straight dash. The thin, squamous skin of the ophidian was grasped betwixt her white fangs, which forthright sank deep into it's flesh. The daimyo's fur horripilated as a slightly sour taste hit her tongue, and she tried her best not to ptyalise it out of her jowls. That would be a very repulsive thing to do, with such a grand reputation and all.
Kaihime & Hayakawa & Hanako | Tags; Kotone, Hatsumomo, Rin | Bamboo Trail Her little ears pricked upwards at hearing Akira's comment, and Hanako's smile broadened. "Hm, yeah. The festival will be even prettier than this forest once were done!" Her pawsteps slowed just slightly, as her subconscious mind was focused on the scenery encasing her. The place was chock-full of grass and plant life; it looked...healthy. She loved it all, and wanted the place to stay that way. "No...it's true I've never been here before. My okaa-san never let me go out of camp until I became an apprentice."
Concurrently, Kaihime kept a watchful blue eye on the minarai ahead, but in the back of her mind, she knew they'd be safe. Even though they'd all be on the other side of the straw fence, they could watch them from the trees. Oh, that's right. Tree climbing! They could climb the bamboo stalks, but would they hold their full weight? No, no they wouldn't. However, looking closely around her, Kai spotted a cluster of trees a few yards away. How...convenient. Bounding over the straw fence, Kaihime reared up on her hind legs, using aforementioned fence to peer over the side on which the trail was on. "We'll be over here, everyone," she called to the dispersing apprentices. "So if you don't see us, don't worry. We'll be watching from those trees over there." She knew the message had gotten through when she heard a 'yes, ma'am' from Hanako on the other side. Ushering the two with her tail, Kaihime meowed a quick, "Let's go, my lady," to Hayakawa and raced over to the trees. They were farther away from her then she'd last seen them, but kept on running until they were nearly in sight.
Arata & Daisuke | Tags; Ruri | Clearing Rubbing his nose with a large paw, Daisuke let out a huff of a chuckle. His amber gaze trailed aloft to the frost-covered corolla above, and his skin shivered beneath his pelt. I forgot it was still winter. Still, the afternoon sun provided a contrasting warmth that heated his fur pleasantly.
He studied the cherry trees intently, searching every individual light pink blossom. "Always," he responded. Indeed, cherry blossoms were an iconic aesthetic, both to the Clan and Japan as a whole. "But...they'd look better decorated with paper streamers. Heh, of course, our mothers and kittens have that covered." The mothers would go out to the city and steal paper from the city, all different bright colors and hues. Then, with the help of the mothers' strong teeth, the kittens would tie the streamers to the branches. A simple decoration, but it made the trees look very polychromatic. He was awed at the many things that the intelligent cats of SakuraClan could come up with.
( Look up 'tanabata' on Google, and you'll see where I got the paper streamer idea from. c: )

Lady Akiko | Tags; N/A | Nursery, Clearing Nodding, she slipped out of the den, the limp reptilian dangling from her clamped labial apertures. At least that potential crisis has been averted... Discarding the acidic-tasting little snake in the bushes nearby, she shook her head in disgust. "I need something to get this utterly revolting taste out of my mouth..." She made her way over to the fresh-kill pile, her eyes pinpointing a freshly-caught koi glistening with water in the sun. She knew that no one was supposed to eat much during the sakura matsuri preparation, besides the kittens and elders, but of course, Akiko could...as she was the leader. Not that she was attempting to be supercilious; she was far from selfish. Snatching up the calico-printed fish, she winced as the succulent taste of the koi mingled in with the bitter snake's tang, creating a very...undesirable combination. Yuck.

Lady Akiko | Tags; Mei & Mui | Clearing Shells assumed an abrupt perpendicular posture as she hearkened Mui's skeptical inquiry. If she was a regular samurai, she would end up with very culpable sentiment about taking food during the matsuri's production. But she felt nothing of the sort, only a sense of dignity. "I was getting rid of a young snake in the nursery just recently," she replied, her tone honest and mature. "It's bitter taste still resides in my mouth, and I have an impulse to rid of it as swiftly as possible." It sounded like a rather idiotic reason for taking aliment during the interlude of preparation, but it was true, and Lady Akiko never lied to her cats.
At Mei's polite solicit for helping with the festival's production, Akiko had to cogitate about this for a brief period of time. After a moment, she turned back to him, her cadmium eyes reflecting the bright afternoon sun. "There is a pile of decorated paper streamers over yonder, outside of the nursery. Take those, climb a cherry tree, and tie the streamers onto the branch. Spread them out all over; not just in one spot." Her eyes sparkled with amusement, although the happy expression did not reach her countenance. "Perhaps you could decorate my meeting spot? That giant cherry tree beside my temple?"

Kai & Hayakawa | Tags; Meiko (??) | Bamboo Trail As she darted towards the trees, Kaihime's senses became alert. There was that scent again. But it didn't smell as bad this time. Hm. Perhaps the scents got mingled together and she just couldn't distinguish them. Tch. I can still smell the city... Where is it coming from?
If only she looked beside her as she raced to the trees, she would've noticed Meiko laying not too far away in the tall, green grass.
