Hawkstripe pulled away from Sunpaw. She licked her lips and faced Falconpaw. "I think she's making up for not catching much on the patrol yesterday." the deputy replied. "Maybe you can ask one of the other mentors to take you with them when they head out for training." She gave her daughter a playful, her eyes soft and sweet. |

Sunpaw's eyes brightened. "Maybe Mistfoot can bring you with us today,"she mewed hopefully, her ears pricking up as she glanced at Falconpaw and then Hawkstripe.
Spottedwhisker stood up from where he was having his mouse. "That sounds great. They haven't gotten as much training with a mock battle,"he agreed.

"Then it's decided," Mistfoot said happily. She peered around the camp, searching for Sunpaw and quickly found her with Hawkstripe and Falconpaw. "We should bring Falconpaw along," Mistfoot commented, watching as the two apprentices conversed with the deputy. She glanced around the camp, searching for Ashflight. She hesitated a moment before rising to her paws, having not found Ashflight. "I'll ask Hawkstripe if she's seen her," Mistfoot murmured,lost in thought. She padded towards the group, her tail swaying by her feet. She dipped her head in greeting to Hawkstripe.
"Good morning, Sunpaw, Falconpaw," Mistfoot said before turning her attention back to Hawkstripe. "You wouldn't happen to know where Ashflight is by any chance?"

Sunpaw purred,"thanks ma"she touched her nose to her mothers. She looked up as Mistfoot approached her,"I haven't seen her,"she shook her head, having not seen Ashflight.
Spottedwhisker looked around camp for Smokepaw, and quickly padded other when he finally spotted him. "Good morning,"he greeted his apprentice with a dip of his head. "Mistfoot, Lionleap, and I are taking you and the other apprentices out for a mock battle training,"he informed him, sure that his apprentice would enjoy that.

"She's out hunting at the moment. If she comes back by sunhigh, I'll send her your way." the deputy responded. "Do you mind if I observe?" the tabby cat asked, imagining how the mock battle will go. "Are all the apprentices going?" Hawkstripe asked after a moment. "This would be a good time to see how their training is as well." Hawkstripe thought. Seeing their growth from where they first started was something that Hawkstripe greatly enjoyed overseeing. Her favorite part about her duties were assessments. Yes, leading in the absence of Rainstar, setting up patrols, and other things were important as well. However, she felt connected with the youth of the Clan when she participated in such activities.
"Oh, really?" Smokepaw stood, his eyes gleaming. It took a second for the tom to realize and he turned to look at his brother. "All of us or a handful?" he asked, still facing his brother. Smokepaw hoped he hadn't offended his brother with his excitement over training. He'd much rather do that than play. If they were where no one could see them, then he'd probably enjoy it a lot more. |

Spottedwhisker's whiskers twitched in amusement. "Well, wouldn't mind all of the apprentices. It would be good for all of you. If his mentor is okay with it, then I'm sure he can,"he agreed, looking toward Owlpaw.
Sunpaw puffed her chest out excited,"I hope you can come! I've learned so much!"she said eagerly, wanting to show her mother everything she's learned and to show off all her skills.

The apprentice sighed and looked up at Mistfoot. Shaking her head, she scanned the camp, hoping that her mentor will pad into camp and promise her to go hunting. "Could I come too?" Falconpaw stared up at Hawkstripe and Mistfoot, her eyes pleading. |

Lionleap padded up next to the others, nodding to Owlpaw. "We'll go with everyone else, if you like." He glanced around camp for the missing mentors and apprentices, wondering if they had already left for the day. If so, perhaps they would run into them while they were out in the forest.

[ ahh sorry for not replying sooner, I had to work on a mousetrap car all of today >-< ]
Mistfoot frowned for a moment upon hearing Ashflight was out of camp, but quickly regained her smile as Hawkstripe asked to observe. She nodded and said, "That'd be great. We're bringing Smokepaw, Owlpaw, Sunpaw, and I was hoping to bring Falconpaw." She turned her attention to Falconpaw and nodded. "Do you think Ashflight will mind?"
"That sounds great!" Owlpaw chirped, his excitement getting the better of him as he jumped to his paws. He nodded his head eagerly. "What are we going to learn?"

Hawkstripe shook her head. "She'll probably come across you guys while you're out there. I'd take her. If anything, Ashflight would thank you." the brown tabby replied. "Though maybe she should have been picked a bit older as a mentor. There are many things wrong with her training habits." the she-cat thought to herself.
