with black dead now, i was thinking that mud will go to flicker and they will try to do something about it, but i might have the clan end up finding out because mud is going to have a big litter [four if i remember correctly] and hiding that won't be easy at all omg

yessss. sorta like a head warrior rank. they watch the clan while the deputy and leader is away, take over deputy duties when the deputy is sick/out on patrol/ stuff like that o:
they won't be the next leader, but they're like a second deputy. if that would work with this clan??? i feel like chicken would do something like that with how fragile the clan is and how quick black died after becoming deputy.

Runningwing blinked open his eyes, though what was the point? he couldn't see out of them anyways. He lifted himself out of the nest, sniffing the air. He could hear much more since his other senses were heightened a bit. He padded slowly to the edge of the den, running his whiskers along the wall to find the exit. Once he reached it, he lowered his head and trotted out.

Runningwing followed his nose towards the fresh-kill pile, tripping over branches and rocks along the way. He had multiple scars from tripping over things in the camp, and Runningwing guessed he would be getting more soon.

Not too many cats were thinking about going on their daily business. Mudfeather looked tired and broken as she and a few warriors brought out the limp body of Blackpelt into the middle of camp. Chickenstar bowed his head as the once powerful warrior was brought out. A snake had done this to him. A snake had taken the life of an important cat. Surely it must have been his time to join StarClan, but it was still hard to imagine and to let go. Chickenstar sighed slowly. He would have to think of who to name deputy now. He shouldn't even be having to name another deputy; just a few days into his leadership and he was about to have a second deputy. Thoughts were running through his mind too quickly for him to really comprehend them, but he knew he had to stay strong his Clan. Blackpelt's loss was a hit to the Clan, but his death wasn't going to stop them from doing what they needed to do.
