Ghoststep smiled as he turned to see his beautiful mate. "Just going through the herb store incase we need to go out looking for more. You never know when some one will come down with something."

Both toms looked up. Blackpaw nodded, his excitement shining in his eyes. "I am so ready."

Coalpaw smiled but was trying to hide his nerves. "I am ready as long as what ever we are doing doesn't kill me." He laughed a little. "With my luck it might."

Harekit turned to his sibling. "Thanks guys I just get so nervous when it starts rumbling."

kk] Hawkpaw laid in the hot, but yet warm sun, letting its sunlight beam on his light tabby pelt. He enjoyed it and wished the sun was there every day to warm up his pelt.

Springpetal pads over to Hawkpaw, barely making a sound, as she prods him with a sharp claw. "Up you get, you lazy kit. We have work to do!" she declares.

"No to both questions," she meows, loving how good it felt to be by his side.

"Well, you'll have to hunt what we request, and catch as much prey as you can otherwise, and then for the fighting, you'll have to go up against each other." Autumnlight meows.

"Yes, we are practicing today," Silvershadow adds.

"Wanna sneak out of camp?" Owlkit asks softly.

"Yeah, and get caught?" Reedkit grumbles sarcastically. "We won't even get far! Momma watches us like a hawk!"

"Well I am glad and thankful for no knew injuries and though kits are always a blessing less queens does mean less work and more time I can spend with you. "He purred.

Blackpaw nodded eagerly. "I can't wait to have my skills tested. This is so great. Don't you think so Coalpaw?"

Coalpaw gulped and nodded. "Yeah great. Let's get to practicing." Well he thought at lest I won't make such an idiot of myself with hunting but battling that's something else altogether.

Harekit's eyes grew round at Owlkit's suggestion. "It would be cool to see what's out there but I bet reedkit is right. Mom almost never stops watching us."

oooo!] "Okay whatever you say mentor!", he purred trying to sound like a responsible warrior.

"Sorry Springpetal.", He said with a purr following her.

Ghoststep smiled."Me too. We are lucky that star clan saw fit to lead me here and to place us together. They certainly knew what they were doing." He chuckled.

Coalpaw sighed and nodded. "Thanks silvershadow. I guess I am just nervous. I have always been clumsy and I just want to do good for my clan."

Blackpaw grinned at Autumnlight. "So what's up for practice today?" He was eager to get started.

Harekit thought about it but shook his head. "A distraction could only last so long then she would have all the warriors out looking for us in a matter of moments. It would be more likely if she fell asleep."

"They sure do," she smiles.

"Yes you're clumsy, but you're bright too. Don't feel down." Silvershadow smiles.

"Hunting first. We want a bird, a rabbit, a mouse, a squirrel and a shrew." Autumnlight grins.

Nodding, Hawkpaw went instantly out to find the prey she had requested. Hawkpaw unsheathed his claws and started lurking into the forest putting his nuzzle up in the air to try scenting prey. Seeing a mouse nibbling onto a root of tree, he crouched and went into a hunting crouch. Hawkpaw leaped onto the mouse biting into it's neck killing it. He started digging up a hole and put the mouse there and left. Hawkpaw finally caught all the prey Springpetal told him, walking back to his mentor, Hawkpaw purred,"Here is all the prey you told me to get." He dropped all of the prey on the hard ground.

Silverpool padded, stretching, out of the warriors' den. As she walked over to the fresh-kill pile she noticed her pelt was all knotted and messed up, so she decided to down and wash. When she was finished washing she went over to the fresh-kill pile, and picked up a plump blackbird.

Firepaw looks up at her, and nods. "Sure, Silverpoool."

He follows her.

Firepaw crouches as soon as he spots the shrew. Using light steps, he glides forward, until he's a good distance away that he would catch it in one jump. He leaps, pouncing onto it, and kills it with one bite to the neck.
