✣ EchoClan - Hidden Within the Stars ✣ (Open!)

(Hi! I currently don't have any character open sadly, but I'm sure someone does!)

(Signing up for courses and arguing over why I have to take them for the 100th time is stressful -_- My classes have started up again, but I should still be able to come on in the afternoon.)

(Also, hi xxshallowpoolxx ! My characters Foxscar and Flashpaw are open)

Flashpaw slunk into camp with a squirrel in her jaws, glancing around and hoping nobody realized she had been out on her own. She trotted up the fresh-kill pile and dropped the squirrel onto it before moving over to her adopted brother Foxscar, who was asleep. She didn't feel like sleeping herself, so she simply sat down next to him.

While initially feeling pangs of guilt, mostly just for being caught, Flashpaw's face lit up. A warrior was inviting her on a patrol! "Really?" She purred excitedly, scrambling to her paws. "Of course I'd like to! Let's go!"

Flashpaw trotted happily after Goldenleaf, her ears perked. She loved being out of camp, where she could go almost everywhere as long as it was in clan territory. "Which way are we going?" She asked the warrior.

"Okay-- Hey!" Flashpaw yowled as Goldenleaf raced away. She narrowed her eyes and ran after Goldenleaf, purring. Although her legs were shorter due to being younger, she was still fast. She leaped over a root that could of tripped her and soon the warrior was back in her sight. She sped up, starting to gain on her.

Goldenleaf risked a look over her shoulder, startled to see that Flashpaw was beginning to catch up with her. Goldenleaf was fast too, she knew that it was her speed that made her useful in fights. That little cat must be faster than she looked. Adrenaline rushing in her veins, Goldenleaf pushed her paws into the ground and pushed forward even faster. At this rate, they would make it to the border in no time. That didn't mean that she was going to let the apprentice win easily however, it was nice to have someone that actually challenged her. Usually the only cat Goldenleaf raced against was her brother, and that was no fun because she knew she could always win.

Flashpaw was starting to pant when Goldenleaf sped up, but she wasn't about to quit. Her legs were going as fast as she could move them, tail streaming behind her. This is great, so much better than just hunting! she thought. At that point, she wasn't as focused on the race as she was just enjoying the feeling of wind blowing through her fur, the trees going whooshing past. I wish I could do this forever!

Goldenleaf grinned at Flashpaw, sitting down beside her, "so are you," she replied, breathing much heavier than she had been before the run. Goldenleaf studied the apprentice for a moment and then added, "when you're a few moons older I'm sure you'll be able to beat me. And you could definitly outrun my brother, Riverwing."

Taking her eyes off of Flashpaw, Goldenleaf began to clean her fur that had been disturbed by the wind. "Let's rest for a few minutes before continuing on towards the border."

Riverwing paced along the enterince to the camp. It hadn't been long since his sister had left with one of the apprentices, and Riverwing was frankly a little bored. He had considered going hunting but that seemed too boring by himself. He glanced around the camp, wondering what the other cats were up to.
