[ Rp: ] Appleleaf smiled, "Sure that sounds good, but Im not going in; it too cold." She stated, even though she had just been to the falls, when the weather was a little warmer. But she loved going to the falls and watching the water rush down, it almost gave Appleleaf a calm and relaxing feeling. Which is what she needs at the moment, "Shall we." Apple leaf mewed, then turn towards the falls and started in the direction.

Wildcreek let out an alarmed yelp as something slammed into her as she was leaving the medicine cats den. Her training took over and she rolled with the blow, hooking her arms around whatever had crashed into her. Slamming the attacker on to the stone floor, she bared her teeth instinctively before seeing the terrified face of Thrushpaw. Only a breath later, she heard Webtangle call up to his apprentice from below. The long-haired warrior gracefully moved off of the apprentice, freeing him from being pinned as she looked coolly at his mentor. "Honestly Webtangle you shouldn't be racing around camp? What are you, a kit? You should act more your age now that you have an apprentice." she sniffed with a frown, glancing from him to Raventail. At least had been able to react. If he had hit the blind warrior, she was sure it wouldn't have ended well. "What if he had hit one of the kits or, Risen forbid, Copperslash?"
--
"Great." Galerush replied with a smile as he began the trek down the mountain. He kept close to Snakefang, glancing over his shoulder every so often to check on her. With that stuff on her eyes, he wasn't sure how well she would be able to traverse the difficult terrain. "Did you see Willowcurl finally let her kits out? They look pretty healthy. Maybe I can apprentice one." he mused as he weaved around a stone.
--
Pearseed paused for a moment, signaling for Coldfire to wait for a moment and let Bearcharge catch up. "Ready to patrol now that fluffy left?" she teased with a good-natured eye-roll. "Come on, we need to hop to it if we want to make it back before everyone eats all the good fresh-kill." With that, the young warrior broke into a hurriedly trot and rushed past the rest of the patrol.

((I'm sorry for being inactive, this weekend I was at my uncle's cabin, celebrating my birthday, which is this wednesday.))
Shimmerpaw bounds back over to her mentor, the thrush in her jaws. She bounces on her paws as she waits for Adderfang to respond. Did I do good? Is it too small? Too big? Too thin? Too fat? Too broken? Too many bones? Too much meat? she internally worries.

Snakefang clung to each and every chunk of soil, leaves, and roots as they made their way down. Never had the camp seemed so high up before. Seeing well only a tail-length in front of her made her feel like wandering in darkness on a declining hill. She hoped it was only the medicine and this wasn't going to be the rest of her life. She was thankful for Galerush's guidance, but he would not always be there. The only one that would be would be... Copperslash. A chill went down her spine at the realization. This was another way to control her. He did this so she would have to rely on him, so she couldn't see anything coming. She took a deep, cleansing breath and nodded at Galerush. "You'd be a great, protective mentor." 'I just wish you could protect me too...'

"Thank you. I think I did a pretty good job mentoring Geistwisp...but she became kind of distant towards the end of her apprenticeship." he murmured with a frown. "I dont know why..." He let silence fall between them for a while before looking back at ehr with a half-smile that came out more like a grimace. "But you have your own apprentice. How has that been going?" He knew there were some concerns when she had received an apprentice because of how meek she had become but he was confident she could pull it off.

She didn't know he was going to take the conversation in that route. So far from home now, she felt so compelled to tell him just why Geistwisp became distant. Galerush didn't even know the half of Copperslash's perverted secret life. Her body tensed and her mouth moved to scream out the secrets, but her tongue refused to release them. By then, the topic was changed on her and she looked at her paws. "I haven't done much with them yet, unfortunately." Probably for the best...

Cedarbranch gave a small nod of acknowledgement when he responded. Not want to disturb her? That definitely didn't sound like him, but she shrugged it off as him just being in a better mood than usual that day. She swallowed the small bite she just took, and continued to take another small one, giving her time to chew and think of something to break the silence. Her mind began to wander a bit. She remembered their most recent confrontation, the one where she'd scared him half to death and got a very cross response. It'd been a while, but even still she found it pretty funny. When she came back to current time, she caught herself staring at him, even though it'd only been a couple heartbeats. Instead of apologizing, she just looked towards her food. "I hate how cold it's getting." She said before taking a bite of her reptile. She wasn't just saying that to say it; The cold weather always made her grumpier than usual. Her fur wasn't very long, and it wasn't the thickest, so she had a tougher time staying warm than others. It was a little breezy, and each gust of wind would just irritate her more. ... ↪ They'd work together well and tbh I feel like the awkward small talk is such an accurate them thing to do but it's not gonna make responding any easier for us xD
... ↪ • Duckthorn | Fresh-kill Pile w/ Cedarbranch -- It was a bit of a surprise when Cedarbranch even bothered saying anything. The way he was eyeing her closely grew slightly more quizzical at her statement. He took slow bites of his meal as well. Why was there always this slight connection towards the she-cat? They could make jabs at each other without getting too offended and because of that mutual love of rudeness and sarcasm and because of that there may have even been a little respect in their acquaintanceship. Still, part of him would have preferred that she stay quiet so he could just eat in peace, but after so long of not being able to have an actual conversation with a cat, it was pretty alright. If their awkward back-and-forth even equated as a conversation. "Sure," Duckthorn meowed in what wasn't a real response by any means. He could get where she was coming from. His fur was rather short as well, unlike the rest of the long-haired furballs in his family.
Trying to think of something to say that wasn't snarky was a lot more difficult when it should have been and before he could hurt his brain thinking too hard on it, Duckthorn could sense the eyes of somebody who had a bone to pick with him boring into the back of his head. It was a common occurrence, because there was always somebody angry with him for his unnecessary teasing and just plain cruel words. Barely even lifting his muzzle from the prey, he snaked his head over his shoulder and grumbled when he saw Geistwisp approaching them. The ginger tom made it a point to get up, drag his food by the tail, and sit down closer to Cedarbranch in efforts to try and ignore the other she-cat, but he knew it wasn't going to work. Of course she was about to read him to filth for something or other that he must've pulled on her. "I'll give you the remains of her nest to help you keep warm after I shred them."

"Thats alright. This your first apprentice, right? Its okay to start slow." he mewed as he flicked her shoulder with his tail tip. He had been very nervous when he first got Geistwisp but some more experienced warriors helped him through the first couple of training sessions. It had set him at ease. Maybe he could offer her the same assistance. "You know...I could go with you when you go out for training if you want...as back up! You know, in case you need advice." he mumbled, pointedly not looking at her. "As long as Copperslash doesn't see us, right?"

Geistwisp was livid. She may be a cold and angry she-cat anyway, but today every vein had been ignited by one tom in particular. And not in a good way. She could practically feel every nerve flaming the anger within her and releasing copious amounts of adrenaline into her furious little body. She was only mildly angry when she discovered half a fricken' thornbush in her nest this morning. She got angrier when she realized it held a tuft of ginger fur. But now, now when she came to confront the tom, he had the nerve to dramatically pick himself up and away from her, with the most annoying comment; making her a ball of hot fire. Thankfully, she (carefully) carried a vessel in her mouth to contain her anger: the very thorns that started it all. With a heavy toss, she threw them in Duckthorn's direction (hopefully hitting him right in his smug little mug) and began her verbal onslaught. "You are an insufferable, childish piece of foxdung! Grow the hell up!" The swears tainted her tongue, but Geistwisp would not hold herself back in the slightest now.

Would that be okay? If truth, it would probably make her look even more pathetic. She could hear the taunts now. 'Can't even train her own apprentice! Needs help from her little boyfriend!' A tear came to her eye. Risen above, she was pathetic. And the waterworks began flowing on their own accord when he mentioned her brother once more. "Please help me!" Exclaimed the she-cat in a fit of tears, "You don't even know the things he does to me! I can't tell anyone!"

Ferretleap let out a small chuckle. "Agreed." He said, following the she-cat in the direction of The Falls. The sound of the water cascading down the rocks was relaxing and almost relieved any stress that was on his shoulders. And while fish certainly wasn't his favorite prey, he still enjoyed the act of fishing. It was a break from the almost repetitive stalk and pounce of hunting of mice, voles, and other land prey. There was a small bounce in his step as he walked that he never failed to have. It was almost a part of him, something other cats immediately thought of when thinking of him. His energy and cheerfulness was a daily occurrence, so it was no surprise that he was borderline skipping as they walked. "I bet I'll be able to catch a bigger fish than you." He challenged.
(exactly they remind me of two awkward teenagers on a first date who don't know what to say or do, just an angrier version xD)
Cedarbranch held back a laugh as he angrily spoke about his obvious rival. Of course she was aware the two didn't get along. In fact, 'didn't get along' was an extreme understatement. The two hated each other, and no cat in the clan could say they didn't know about it. Her attempt at holding back her laugh resulted in a throaty snicker, followed by a quiet whisper with amusement dripping in her voice. "I'll gladly accept that offer." Her eyes flicked up to the angry infuriated she-cat. Immediately Cedarbranch tried to hide her smile, which was to no avail. But it seemed the she-cat paid no attention to her, immediately anyway, as she cursed at the tom beside her. Lowering her gaze to the morsel of food that was left, she took a bite to stop herself from bursting out laughing at the she-cats words. Cedarbranches only humor was pulling pranks on others, it was her favorite thing to do. Mostly because of the reactions she got, and she couldn't help but find other cats' anger hysterical. She chewed slowly, wishing there was still some more of the reptile left, and swallowed, peeking up again at the she-cat and then at Duckthorn.

Raventail was a bit confused as to what exactly happened, hearing the alarmed yelp of his clanmate and a whoosh as something was pinned to the ground. The blind warrior twitched his nose, scenting Thrushpaw and let out a soft sigh, realizing what happened as the she cat lectured his best friend, Webtangle. He could feel how upset the young apprentice was, it was practically coming off of him as waves, and hearing the unnaturally dry tone in Webtangles voice made him feel nervous, feeling like he had to step in, unaware of the worried look the she cat had given him while speaking. "Ah, but it is important for a younger apprentice to still have fun, Wildcreek," He gently reminded her, brushing his pelt against hers win an almost soothing fashion. He had become accustomed to how skittish Thrushpaw was didn't want the young apprentice to be so fearful all the time. His ears swiveled towards Webtangle, knowing he couldn't make it seem as if he where taking sides. "That being said, Webtangle, you should know you should know better than to be racing around camp, Risen knows that it got us in enough trouble when we were younger, and sent us to the medicine cats den more times than we could count," He pointed out wryly, tail tip twitching, being able to sense the fear coming off of the apprentice.

... ↪ • Webtangle | Camp w/ Thrushpaw, Wildcreek, Raventail -- Hearing his best friend speak in his favor had Webtangle practically glowing after his short, fearful attitude. His head swung from Wildcreek to the other tom just in time to watch him brush his body against her. Not missing a beat, Raventail began to defend her case as well, which had Webtangle deflating again. At least his friend couldn't see him shrink, but it was a terrible thing to be appreciative of. Right, back when the were in an out of the Medicine Cat's den for all the scrapes and dings the acquired when they were younger, but now it's like Raventail was Batrain's permanent guest now because of the terrible accident he'd been involved in.
A small chirp beside the lot of warriors belonged to Thrushpaw, calling out to his mentor. Forlorn, Webtangle blinked at his friend a moment. They were supposed to become mentors together and now Raventail was missing out. Between Thrushpaw stealing his time, and Wildcreek stealing his friend, it was as if there almost a rift in their close friendship. Sighing again, the multi-colored thought it best to leave them to it. Wildcreek taking Raventail out for a walk was always a nice sight. "Yeah," he meowed with a forced chuckle. Webtangle took a few steps towards Thrushpaw and asked him to apologize to the she-cat before leading him away after giving a goodbye to the other pair.
--
• Duckthorn | Fresh-kill Pile w/ Cedarbranch, Geistwisp -- A slitted gaze cruised over to the giggling Cedarbranch rather slowly and paused there for a few moments in order to buy the troubled tom some time to ignore the rage emanating from Geistwisp. Unlike her, he didn't find joy in his pranks. Maybe a snicker here and there, but the way the multi-colored she-cat before them was handling it now erased any pleasure he may have found out of the thorn bed being found.
"What makes you think I did that?" he finally meowed coolly, flicking his gaze in her heated direction. It wasn't a question he was going to get away with. Geistwisp was his most-targeted victim. As if she'd been on his nerves ever since the day she was born. A scratch of blood dripped down his nose from one the goatheads he'd planted in her nest that hit his face. Duckthorn picked it up and draped it across Cedarbranch. It certainly couldn't be comfortable.

"Webtangle..." Raventail called out halfheartedly, taking a step away from the she cat. He could practically hear the multicolored Tom shrinking away, just with the sound of his voice. The black warrior never pretended not to notice the seeming rift coming between them, and he couldn't help but flick his tail in slight annoyance at this, wanting to actually talk about it instead of avoiding the issue all together. But the multi colored tom seemed so busy with his new apprentice, and, as horrible as it sounded he didn't know if his friend was purposefully busying himself or if Thrushpaw was genuinely a pawful. Perhaps it was a small bit of both, and he really was just looking out for his apprentice when he decided to open his mouth on the subject. He felt himself deflate as his best friend left, no longer interested in actually leaving the camp after that.

Adderfang examined the thrush his apprentice brought him, using his paw to roll the little bird over so that he could view it from all sides. "Looks good," he meowed, giving her a smile. The black and white tom bent down and picked up the thrush, struggling not to sneeze as its feathers tickled his nose. He dropped it in the same place where he'd buried her previous catch and went back to watch Shimmerpaw hunt again.

She wasn't the greatest as fishing but would give it a try. She snorted, "I bet you can." The she cat mewed, "When it comes to fishing, I suck at it." She mewed, knowing pretty well that she will fail. As they walked Appleleaf kicked a leaf watching it go flying in the air only to float back down to the earth.

"Good work." Adderfang meowed, moving to place the squirrel on their little pile of prey. Returning to Shimmerpaw, the black and white warrior dropped into a crouch. Adderfang barked out a laugh, though he paused for a moment. "Remember to keep your claws sheathed, I really don't want to leave her missing one of my eyes." he meowed, not giving the apprentice a chance to respond before he tackled her to the ground, wanting to see if she had learned the vulnerable places on a cat's body that could be exploited when overpowered in battle.
