aisling & sunwhisker { forest } ✧Yawning softly, Aisling leaped out of little nook in the slender yet strong azure oak which she called home. She did it with a surprising amount of grace and speed. In the moons she had existed, the lithe feminine had grown to enjoy and relish the feeling of running and feeling the breeze ruffling her silky cream pelt, as well as moving with grace, and had become quite good at both. The one thing that she hadn't been able to grasp though, was strength. She had come to the conclusion that there were two types of cats. The first was able to move with much ease, and could twist and turn with elegance and grace. The other could take down a group of foxes with a flick of their tail. Aisling knew she was the former, and she both feared and admired the latter. Well, then again, she feared most cats. Whenever she saw another cat, she would usually duck away in some nook or cranny. The thing she feared the most, though, was Big-Group. Big-Group was a pack of savage beasts of cats. They picked their teeth with badger bones and smeared their foreheads with the blood of cats who became their prey. She had heard murmurs of them being called 'Blue Oak' or something of the like. She had grown to recognise their scent, a sort of musty, dark smell mixed with herbs. Whenever she caught even the slightest whiff of their perfume, the petite female quickly got away, with even more fear and panic than when she smelt other cats. But despite all her anxieties, she felt a strange sort of longing and desperation for them. She had been alone, ever since mother died .. "No." Aisling told herself, wincing. She would not think about that. Suddenly, a perfume that she knew all too well graced her, and she felt a stroke of fear. But she knew that the Big-Group cat had already seen her, so she thought the possibility of death was slightly less than if she ran away. She knew this for a fact. She called out, fear obvious as day. "Hello?" The beautiful she-cat called out softly.brookpaw & hallowstripe { camp } ☾Brookpaw sighed a soft sigh of relief. The slender matre had finished all of her duties. Being a matre was the only path she would ever choose to take, but that didn't mean that it wasn't hard as hell sometimes. There were disgusting duties, and her elder matre Appleblossom had warned her that sometimes cats died, and there was nothing you could have done about it. Brookpaw knew she would feel horrible about it, because no matter how much everyone told her that there was nothing she could have done about it .. It would cast a shadow over her for eternity and beyond. She winced as she imagined the spirits of dead cats swirling around her, moaning and weeping, telling her that she should have worked harder. She breathed in deeply, regaining her calm composure. She would not let her emotions to take over. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted something and grinned. Catmint! Appleblossom would definitely be pleased with her for stocking up on the herb. She picked it and carried it in her jaws, bundled in an willow leaf, content. Her mind wandered back onto the topic of the pains of committing to the job of a matre. For one, a matre was forbidden to have a mate or bear children. Although she was not at all fazed or upset about the idea of not having romance in her life, and wasn't as desperate to get pregnant as some of the feminines in Blue Oak, it was somewhat upsetting that she'd never know the feeling of a litter suckling at her belly, feeling as warm, loving, as well as fierce as a cat could ever be. But, as she had heard from Appleblossom, the whole clan was her litter now. But she knew the bond could never be as true or as strong as that of a mother and kit. The other was that they had to live a more solitary life than most cats. Brookpaw and other matres before her were separated from the rest of the clan by their duties. They would never be as close. And sometimes, when she was all alone in her nest, that hurt slightly. Brookpaw sighed. She was at camp. Gently placing the bundle of catmint in its respective place, she suddenly felt a pang of hunger. She looked at the fresh-kill pile, and saw Hallowstripe, a grey tom. She didn't talk to him too much, and seeing as he was alone, she wouldn't be inturrupting any conversations, and she wanted to make some small talk with some cats. The pretty feminine padded up to him. "Mind if I sit here?"

He stood up showing no signs of fear or hostility. He started to pad towards the direction of the voice, he tasted the air and smelled a scent he didn't recognize. He had just become a new warrior and wasn't really scared of anything, he honestly didn't care much. Although he was praised with outstanding speed and grace, he wasn't the type to go around causing fights; he preferred to not use violence as a technique.

aisling & sunfeather { forest }
Aisling gasped. The Big-Group cat knew she was there! By the sound of it, it was a tom, and one slightly older then her. She debated in her head whether she should go out and show herself to the tom. Maybe she had enough time to run away? She was pretty quick, and there was a chance he wouldn't be able to catch her. The young female was reconsidering going out into daylight. She was very meek, and with no willpower or ability to say no at all. Behind the tree, she glanced at the tom. He looked friendly enough, and gentle, too. The kind of cat who wouldn't hurt anyone without reason. But she was still suspicious. She knew for a fact that sometimes cats put on kind facades to trick cats to be close to them. And once the naive victim had grown to trust the cat, the cat who manipulated them in the first place would lash out and slice the naive and unsuspecting prey's neck with their jaws, licking the cat's scarlet blood off their lip. Aisling shivered. She did not want that to happen to her, even though she knew it was likely for a cat as naive as her. She easily trusted, especially with cats who coddled who and treated her sweetly. No matter how hard she tried not to be, nativity was the feminine's fatal flaw, and the one which would probably ruin her life. She sighed. Nativity was something which was common in her family. Her own mother suffered from it, and that was what led to her downfall. But she didn't have anytime to cry. She had to focus on her priorities. She glanced at the tom again. He was rather handsome, and had a golden pelt. His build was lean and she guessed that the Big-Group cat was like her, a cat that had amazing grace and swift, and was not strong. She sighed. He didn't look dangerous. She decided that she might as well go talk to him. She hesitated slightly. There was a chance, despite his slim build, that he could still hurt her! He was a Big-Group cat, and all Big-Group cats were savage and could rip a badger to pieces with a few moves of their jaw. She realised that he was coming towards her. Aisling froze with fear. Then slowly, without really thinking, the extremely pretty fae revealed herself, padding up to the tom and looking up at him, without a word.

Sunfeather gasped when he saw the she cat reveal herself, she was quite pretty for a loner. He smiled cheerfully, "Hi! My name's Sunfeather." He exclaimed with a cherry voice, He looked the she cat up and down. He wasn't the type to accuse every loner he sees. He sat there and cocked his head at the she cat curious.

aisling & sunfeather { forest }
The little feminine cocked her head in confusion cutely when she saw the tom gasp once she revealed herself. Why was he doing that? It wasn't like she had burst out suddenly, or done anything to shock him, as a matter of fact. She decided to ask. "Why are you gasping? Did I scare you?" She asked, confused. He seemed rather surprised, which was strange. He knew she was there, and she revealed herself slowly. She blushed slightly when she realised how awkward the situation was. "Sorry for asking, I was just confused." She added, quickly and meekly. She shuffled her paws shyly. She didn't usually interact with cats, especially Big-Group ones! But this one looked friendly enough, and she didn't think he would hurt her. She looked up at him when he announced his name in a cheerful tone of voice. Sunfeather? What a strange name. Looking up at him, she smiled meekly. "My name is Aisling." She said. She wondered what he'd think of that name. What if he thought it was as strange as she herself thought his was? They came from two completely different worlds, and you could tell. One was lean yet muscular, and looked very well fed. The other was lithe, and didn't have quite as much. Aisling was lost in her own mind. She had known only one Big-Group cat before, and she had hated him. Clearing her mind from that disgusting cat, she turned to Sunfeather and saw him looking her up and down. Rosy heat came to her cheeks profusely. His behaviour did confuse the pretty loner.

Sunfeather smiled, "I gasped because you're so pretty." He mewed and puffed out his chest, when he heard the she cat give her name he then mewed again, "Huh What an interesting name." He saw a leaf out of the corner of his eye and suddenly turned his head towards the floating leaf. Once he realized he seemed a little weird he turned his attention back to the she cat and licked his chest fur in embarrassment, "Sorry I saw a leaf." He chuckled.

Pretty? Aisling blushed harder then ever, looking up at the Big-Group tom and staring into his eyes. She didn't know why he said this. She knew that cats called she-cats pretty when they had feelings or an attraction to them, but her mother called her pretty, and she definitely didn't mean it that way. His face didn't give off any clues either. It was just a friendly smile. She stared at him. "Pretty? .." She stuttered softly, looking up at him. At his next comment, she smiled a little bit. "Thank you .. ?" She didn't know whether that was supposed to be a compliment or insult. So far, this tom had proven himself to say a lot of things with ambiguous meanings. His next action made her giggle slightly. She was just staring at the handsome tom in confusion and wonder when he started to chase a leaf which had been thrown up. If was a windy day, and fallen plants and flowers were swirling around them. He started to chase an azure leaf like she did when she was only a little kitten. She giggled softly. Big-Group cats had a soft side as well, clearly. For some reason which she couldn't grasp, she started to blush. She blushed even harder when she realised what she was doing. Why was she blushing at a time like this? Sunfeather then turned around. He turned back to her and started to lick the chest fur that was once puffed out proudly. As he apologised, she laughed. "It's okay." She giggled softly. At the sight of the tom, she blushed again. She knew that she blushed a lot, but she usually had a reason to! Why was this different? Turning her attention back to the tom, the beautiful she-cat smiled meekly.

Sunfeather was still a little embarrassed after letting his guard down infront of loner, he shuffled is paw and then he perked his ears up and smiled. "You're welcome!" He asked, smiling wide. He had excitment written all over his face as he mewed, "Have you ever seen the ocean?" He asked tilting his head to one side and looked at the blushing she cat.
