well if you're good at them then i wont complain hahaha, and yeah she's quite a character let's see, Graysmoke and Hollyvine are both more on the quiet side, so I think she'd be a better fit with Thistlepaw c:

That would be a bit hard to roleplay if two quiet characters get stuck together. Not a lot of dialogue lol
Okie uno momento while I type something up~

Thistlepaw wasn't one for mornings, she wasn't the kind of cat that woke up bright and early like the rest of the apprentices to go out with their mentors. Just because the sun was up didn't mean she had to get up with it. But eventually she did have to actually move her cat butt out of the apprentices den to start the day or else she might be stuck there for a while. Her eyes opened, her ears flicking back slightly as the sounds of the world came and greeted her ears. Not a whole lot of sounds but maybe the faint sound of chirping and some shifting paws from outside. Nothing new, nothing out of the normal. She forced herself to her paws, let out a large yawn before slinking from the den and into the fresh outside world. Thistlepaw took one tired glance around the camp before sitting herself down beside the entrance to the apprentices den, after of course stretching out her legs and back. Not exactly the best place to sleep but at least it was somewhere to sleep right?
She let the air of camp soak over her, sleeping in a pine trunk wasn't really all that cracked up as it sounded back then. It was stiff, something it could stuffy but hey at least she could expect better in the warriors den right? Thistlepaw let her eyes wonder around the camp for a minute or two, just observing the cats that were still lingering about. What to do, what to do.... She thought to herself, needing something to get her moving. To get her awake and ready for the day before she had to go back into that trunk and sleep for who knows how long. Her tail swished behind her, her paws kneading the dirt beneath her thus dragging up bits and pieces of earth. She could go hunting with a warrior, that would be fun. Or maybe tag along on a patrol or...something. Considering her lack of a mentor she found herself cooped up in the camp grounds a lot. Not being able to run around in the forest like the other lucky cats made her energy overflow until she found herself maybe running around in circles in the apprentices den like a loon. Either way, she needed to get out. She needed to do something.
[ sorry it's kind of short, like thistle I got up like a few hours ago ]

You're good haha :3 }}
x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine certainly wasn't an early bird, nor did she believe the saying "the early bird gets the worm." So it wasn't surprising that only recently did she wake up from her nest and head out into camp with sleep still dragging her paws to the ground. It would probably be a little while longer before she actually felt awake and alert, unless she went out into the territory and forced herself awake, which was usually what she did. But as she looked around camp, it seemed as though most of her fellow warriors were already out and about, or had their own things to do. Sighing, she noticed Thistlepaw in the corner of her eye. Hunting with an apprentice? That certainly wasn't her top choice, but it seemed as if her top picks for a patrol weren't available.
With one small breath, as if preparing herself for something more drastic than what was actually happening, she headed over to the older apprentice with a look on her face that certainly wasn't joy. "Hey, Thistlepaw. You up for hunting? It seems as though most of our clan mates are busy elsewhere, so we should probably make ourselves useful as well." She suggested with a small shrug. Thistlepaw looked as if she had only woken up as well, so hopefully the apprentice wasn't cranky from just waking up.

Cranky? Thistlepaw wasn't really considered the cranky type when waking up in the morning. More like the really tired and sluggish, but that really changed when Hollyvine approached the other she-cat, Thistlepaw seemed to brighten up. "Go hunting? Yeah sure, I could go for hunting" She nodded a bit too much to those words Hollyvine said, getting to her paws faster then a rabbit jumping from it's hiding spot. "Where would we go hunting first? Are we going to go deep into the territory to get some birds and voles or-or maybe we are gonna go fishing for some um fish" Thistlepaw rambled on, her paws already carrying her towards the exit of the camp with a hop to her steps. She wasn't really expecting to be asked to go hunting, most of the time she had to beg to go with some other cat or maybe hitch a ride with another apprentice and mentor. This was a pleasant surprise, considering it was also from Hollyvine who was a more reserved cat in her mind. Thistlepaw would have thought that the warrior would have chosen to go alone or maybe pick another warrior that wasn't really doing much of anything. The fact that Hollyvine chose her was like a dream sent from star clan. Maybe this is a dream.
Well if it is, I don't wanna wake up Thistlepaw thought to herself. The young she-cat stopped next to the entrance to the camp and turned back toward Hollyvine to wait on the warrior before taking her leave. She has never spoken to the female warrior before so this should be a good bonding time, maybe. She didn't know if this would be considered bonding time at all since Hollyvine only asked her to go hunting. It wasn't really a big deal but Thistlepaw had to make it a big deal. She had to make everything a big deal, because everything to her was a big deal. Nothing was really a small deal or not as important as the next thing to happen. It was something that just couldn't be helped with the young apprentice. She found everything exiting and wonderful, plus Thistlepaw paid a great deal of attention to the female warriors. And this was the chance to get to know Hollyvine since she didn't know a lot about her, which was odd since she knew a lot about all the she-cats here. She wanted to be just as great as they were and...and this could go on forever about how much Thistlepaw wanted to be like them someday.

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine paused for a moment and blinked as she watched the apprentice immediately got up and headed to the camp entrance. She couldn't hold back a small grin from forming on her face at the apprentices enthusiasm. Hollyvine remembered being just like her as an apprentice, so full of energy. 'If only I still had the same bounce in my step.' She thought to herself before quickly following the younger cat. It took her a moment before deciding where exactly they should go, as she hadn't really thought about that yet.
"Well, we could go to, er," She meowed, pausing a moment, before blurting out the first thing that came to her head. "Silver Field. There may be some field mice or hares in the area." She said. With a shrug, and not waiting for the apprentice to respond, she veered off into the direction of the field, which wasn't too far away from camp.
The tiredness she had experienced from first waking up was seeming to fade, thankfully, and she became more aware of the scents and sounds around her. Prey was all around them, and the sound of water splashing in a creek came from nearby. Hollyvine's mood was almost instantly improved at the sounds and scents, and it was shown in her step and on her face. Being in the territory was always one of her favorite things, which as probably why she was almost never found in camp.

Thistlepaw nodded her head ( maybe a bit too fast ) at the selected destination, her paws skittering under her for a moment when the warrior veered towards the direction of the Silver fields. "Right! Makes sense, makes sense" Thistlepaw replied, padding beside Hollyvine. Her eyes were pinned onto the warrior more then her own surroundings, almost tripping over her two front paws in the process. She couldn't help it, if any cat was around Thistlepaw long enough you would learn that she spends more time looking at other cats then she does at the environment around her. "Is Silver fields a good place for prey?" she asked the older warrior, her eyes turned back forward a few times to avoid any rocks in her path, before turning them back to Hollyvine with her ears perked upwards. Thistlepaw didn't really go to the silver fields a lot, in fact she rarely went anywhere that wasn't the lake near the camp or just the forest. She found herself to be more cut off then the other cats, but then again she didn't mind it. The forest was a great place to her and sometimes if she's lucky one day she could spend more time in this big old territory of theirs.
She keeps on thinking about how cool it would be one of these days to actually run around the forest and see all the nooks and cranny's that it had to offer other then just passing through to get some prey or whatever herbs were needed. Maybe there was a job where a warrior could do just that, just run around and climb up trees or go swimming. The thought almost made her purr but she held off on the happy gesture. She had to focus on what they were going to do, use these long legs to use for once instead of just lazing around camp waiting for something to happen. Thistlepaw had to make sure not to goof around and actually catch something. Last time she went hunting she came back with a scrawny little mouse that couldn't even feed a kit if it had to. She could come back with maybe a rabbit that could feed a couple cats or maybe a slightly fatter mouse if she was lucky.
"Do you normally go there or is it just like a rare occasion kind of thing?" Thistlepaw asked yet another question. It didn't really make all that much sense too, but Thistlepaw wasn't one to stay silent. She wanted to make conversation, talk to Hollyvine for a bit before they had to go and get lost in the tall grass of silver fields. The last thing she wanted to end up doing was going there in silence, that would be too awkward for her. Much too awkward - then again Hollyvine might want to be quiet. What if Thistlepaw was being annoying? Was she already saying too much? Maybe she should keep her big fat muzzle shut after she answers, or maybe she liked talking or or....Or maybe Thistlepaw was overthinking things. Again.

omg im crying Thistlepaw is too adorable uvu}} x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine looked over at Thistlepaw as she asked her questions, and paused before responding to make sure she wasn't going to ask another one. She couldn't help but feel more joyful and energized around the young apprentice, with the way she walked and asked questions, it made the she-cat feel like she was an apprentice too. Looking back up to where she was going, she continued to answer her questions.
"Well, it is in greenleaf and new-leaf, and sometimes leaf-fall, but not in leaf bare. No prey wants to freeze in the snow in an open field." She explained. It gave her a small shiver to think about the snow falling and the crisp air. Hollyvine definitely wasn't a fan of leaf-bare. "And well, it really depends on my mood and where I feel like going. I don't think I really visit any spots in the territory more than the others." She answered.
As Hollyvine took another glance at the young she-cat, she couldn't help but grow a small hope that maybe she would be chosen to finish her training. They hadn't talked before that day, but already Thistlepaw was growing on her. She was fun, talkative but not too much to where Hollyvine was annoyed. Plus, she knew it was probably best if she started socializing a little bit more than she did now, even if she didn't ant to, and Thistlepaw was a good place to start.

[ Got it Captain Foxtrots ] [ Thistlepaw makin' people cry since 2016 ]
The apprentice nodded to Hollyvines answers, tipping her head slightly as she listened. "I would think the Silver Fields would be the best place to go during leaf-bare. All that snow to hop around in..." Thistlepaw mused and couldn't help her own little grin. Sure, all the other season were good and all for catching prey and just enjoying the many days of sunshine and warmth but...Thistlepaw really hated those seasons. She didn't enjoy the heat all that much, and sure the sun was great and all but the days when it rained were the days she loved. Maybe it was because the rain didn't really bother her all that much or maybe it was the smell that came with the rain. Who knew, she just loved those select days. And Leaf-bare was just...she couldn't put into words how much she enjoyed the snow and prancing around in it when it falls. She especially loved the times when it snowed so much that it almost went over her head. Plus the cold air was a great wake up call too, better then the warm, sticky air that she would wake up to.
She kept her mouth shut on her thoughts though, too much to say right now when she wanted to keep her blabber down to a minimum. "But I can see why leaf-bare can be a bother. At least to those who like to hunt in the fields and forest. And the sun. But there are some sunny days during leaf-bare I think." Thistlepaw meowed, glancing up toward the sky as she spoke. "I always kind of like leaf-bare....it's a change from the normal green stuff....plus there aren't so many bugs" She added. No bugs in the pelt for once after going through a bunch of bushes would be great, but it would be great if Thistlepaw would stop going through a whole bunch of bushes to begin with. "But anyway, since it's nice out I think there should be a lot of prey don't you think? Maybe we can bring home some rabbits if we're lucky. I almost caught a rabbit once but I...." She trailed off for a second as she thought back to the one time she came a few hairs of catching a rabbit.
"I tripped over my tail" She finished. It was the same day she slugged back into camp almost covered in dried mud that she couldn't get out of her pelt before. If there was one thing she hated about herself was her stupid long tail, that and her big ears. "But I would have caught it....it just bested me" she grumbled, like she had a personal vendetta against the rabbit and what it had done to her was unacceptable in any shape or form. On the plus side, she was happy Hollyvine wasn't telling her shut up or rolling her eyes. She seemed like she enjoyed talking to Thistlepaw given how the two had literally just woken up. Something Thistlepaw was doing seemed to be working she just had no idea what it was.

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine let out a small chuckle. "Maybe for you, but the prey doesn't agree." She meowed. Hollyvine certainly didn't agree with her season preferences. Snow was pretty and it was nice to have a break from the heat, but Hollyvine didn't have as thick of a coat as others in her clan did, so she got cold a lot easier. Getting frostbite on her paws, however, was what really made her dislike leaf-bare so much. And she didn't particularly favor the heat in greenleaf, either. Sometimes it was way too hot for her, especially with a dark coat.
"Leaf-bare can be alright. The snow is really pretty. But i prefer leaf-fall." She admitted as she looked up at the trees, then looked forward as Silver Field was coming into view. "The leaves change into pretty colors, and the whether is really nice. It's not too hot, nor too cold. " She meowed. "But you're right, the lack of bugs is a plus." She agreed. There were no mosquitoes, bees, or ticks, which were a huge nuisance.
Hollyvine nodded as Thistlepaw spoke about bringing rabbits home. "Rabbits are really tasty, hopefully they'll be out and about." She agree'd. "They should be out. I don't think anyone has hunted here in a while." She meowed, although she wasn't entirely sure. At the very least, some field mice should be out, as they were almost always there. If they got horribly unlucky, they could always find a stream to go fishing in, although Hollyvine would really prefer not to...
When Thistlepaw finished her story, Hollyvine let out a small bought of laughter. "Bested by a rabbit?" She repeated. "How long ago was this?" She asked as they arrived to the edge of the field. Stopping, she turned to the apprentice so she could answer before they began their hunt. Plus, Hollyvine was really interested in knowing just how young, or old, Thistlepaw was when this happened.

"Well....it was uh..." Thistlepaw began, shuffling where she stood when the two stopped. "Possibly...just a couple of weeks ago...my tail just got tangled up in my paws and I tripped right into a muddy patch" She explained. If cats could blush, Thistlepaw would defiantly be blushing like crazy. She seemed to have this unfortunate thing of getting into situations that always end up with her either embarrassing herself or somehow getting herself all messy. It's not like she had big paws or her coat was supper heavy. It was just her own mind making her legs going in all kinds of directions. She would want to go left, but the other half of her brain would scream 'GO RIGHT" and she end up falling in the dirt because she can't go either way. To think that she should be able to hunt by now without getting all tangled and frazzled. How cruel would it be if her warrior name would end up being something relating to her clumsy self. The thought frightened her even, to have to live with that sort of name. True she could get it changed to something else but honestly she didn't want to change it. She would be too scared to do so anyway in fear that she could be ridiculed for it.
"I won't let it happen twice though" She added with a determined look coming across her face. She wouldn't let a rabbit best her again. She had long legs for a reason, to keep up with those long eared beasts. And she would prove it too, now that Hollyvine knew about how she had easily lost a rabbit because of her tail. I'm not gonna loose any prey today she thought to herself. No prey would get away, she would catch as much as she could and come back proud to say that 'I caught this mouse without tripping over my own paws!' The thought made her heart pump and get her eager to jump into the line of long grass. "Do we stay together when we hunt here or do we go separate ways?" She asked, pulling her ears back as she approached the tall grass. How easy it could be to get lost within the blades was something Thistlepaw would need to be careful of.
The last thing she needed was to end up on the other side of the field and proceed into the dense forest thinking that she was on her way back to camp. And instead could end up in the jaws of some horrible beast or maybe swiped up by some monster bird. You never know, those things could be real. Just because they haven't been seen yet doesn't mean they aren't out there. Waiting, watching for the perfect chance to come down and pick you up like your some sack of air. She jumped slightly at the sound of a twig snapping, just a bird taking off into the sky next to them. Again, over thinking things to the point of scaring her own self. She turned back to Hollyvine, awaiting for instruction since Thistlepaw has only been here a few times. "What if we get lost too....do we yowl for help until someone comes or....do we just wonder around lost" She mumbled, keeping a somewhat straight face when saying it.

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine couldn't hold back more laughter. "Sorry, sorry." She meowed, whiskers twitching, as she realized it was probably really embarrassing for the apprentice. Maybe hunting just wasn't her thing; Maybe she was better at fighting, or stalking, or something else. But that didn't mean she could get away with never hunting. So, with that logic, Hollyvine decided she wanted Thistlepaw to practice hunting on her own. With two cats, hunting one piece of prey was too easy, and didn't take much practice. But, hunting by yourself, was something apprentices needed to practice more at, and it seemed Thistlepaw needed the practice after hearing her rabbit story.
"By ourselves. I'll go this way-" She pointed to the right with her tail, "and you'll go that way-" She finished as she pointed left. Hollyvine had made a good decision in coming to the field; Prey scents were coming from all around, and neither of them should have any trouble finding something to hunt. Hollyvine particularly took interest in a robin she scented in the direction she was going to go.
Realizing that Thistlepaw mentioned she didn't come here often, it wasn't surprising that she was worried of getting lost. Quickly, Hollyvine came up with a plan. "Alright, if you think you get lost, head towards the edge of the field, and walk the perimeter until you find me. And if you don't find me, keep walking until I show up." She meowed. "But don't leave without me. If something happens, I'll make sure to find you." She reassured. "The field really isn't as big as you might think." And with that, Hollyvine bent her head to the ground and headed towards the scent of the robin.

Thistlepaw couldn't help but flatten her ears slightly as the warrior laughed, she didn't blame her though. The story would be funny to any cat that heard it. "It's alright...Graysmoke said it was funnier to actually see it then hear it" She meowed. Graysmoke had said that, and he usually never laughed much less smile. Thistlepaw dipped her head slightly in a nod when Hollyvine answered, keeping the plan for if she got lost in her head. She didn't want to get lost, but she also didn't want to end up walking around the field until her paws gave out. She watched the warrior walk off towards a possible prey, thus giving Thistlepaw the freedom to get some prey of her own. No worries. She waved her tail slightly before heading off into the grass, opening her muzzle just a bit to get a whiff of something - a mouse. Nice and small to start things off. Start small and work her way up to something bigger to bring back. Hopefully this was a nice fat mouse she could drag back, and not a super scrawny one which if you think about it, why would a mouse be scrawny when they have so much to-
Thistlepaw jumped as a animal scurried past her vision, the mouse she had ben smelling out just a moment before her brain switched to own personal bubble. She let out a soft hiss before going after it, her eyes pinning on the animal as it ran through the grass. She wasn't going to let this mouse get away, for star clans sake it was a tiny mouse that a young apprentice could easily get a hold of. Her eyes were pinned on the small gray fleck running in front of her, sometimes she would loose sight of it but she could quickly pick back up where it was heading thanks to the shifting of the grass. "I am not going to have a repeat of the rabbit" She said to herself, her eyes narrowing slightly as she went back after the mouse, taking longer strides in order to get back up to speed with it. By the time she did though, at the last second before it was able to get out of the tall grass and to the comfort of the dense forest, she leaped forward with claws extended. When she did pounce on it, it was sort of like a hot potato kind of thing - she batted it around and fumbled to get a hold onto the animal. But she did, quickly clamping down on it before it could run off.
She wheezed slightly while holding onto the mouse, her eyes glancing around like someone was watching from the grass and could see her horrible hunting techniques. Oh if anyone were to actually see that, well she didn't know how they would react. She lifted her head with the mouse clamped in her mouth and turned around toward the field, thinking more on the positive. At least she caught the mouse and didn't let it escape. At least she didn't trip into a muddy puddle or bonk her head into a tree. At least she didn't fall from a branch and ended up with more twigs and leaves in her pelt then the actually tree did. Not bad Thistlepaw....well thank you Thistlepaw she thought, turning her head slightly before setting the mouse. Maybe she could try again, this time not as sloppy or distracted even. She had to focus or else she would be here all day. It was a stroke of luck that she caught this mouse. She didn't expect star clan to grace her with such luck again after this.

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To herself Hollyvine followed the scent of the robin carefully. As she moved forward as quietly as possible, the scent only grew stronger and stronger. Her mouth began to water, and she felt pangs of hunger in her belly as she hadn't eaten yet that day. Trudging on despite the hunger pains, she moved forward until, finally, she caught sight of the bird. It was small, but it was prey. Unsheathing her claws, she wasted no time stalking it and instead went straight for the pounce, landing square on top of it and giving it a killing bite.
With a huff of pride, she looked at her kill. It wouldn't fully feed a hungry warrior, but maybe an apprentice would take interest in it. Either way, at the very least she had something to take to camp instead of returning empty pawed. Scraping dirt over it to keep it fresh, she scented the air, hoping to find a piece of prey that was bigger and fatter.
Her eyes lit up with delight as she scented a hare, which was exactly why she came to the field in the first place. Hares weren't the most common pieces of prey, and she would have some bragging rights for the day if she managed to take one to camp. Lowering herself to the ground, she stalked towards it easily as it wasn't too far away. But, before she even got a chance to pounce, it suddenly looked towards her direction, saw her, turned tail, and ran.
"Fox-dung!"

Honestly, other then the mouse that Thistlepaw buried for later she was sure that there was not gonna a chance in star clan that she was ever gonna get another piece of prey. She scared away a bird pecking away at the dirt, and she managed to trip over her two front paws while walking toward what she guessed was the middle of the field. She even forgot where she buried the mouse so she spent a good deal of time just wondering around the field looking for the fresh patch of dirt. But before she could even get there she was spooked by the sound of Hollyvines voice and something running behind her. She was frozen for a second before flattening her ears and opening her mouth slightly. Rabbit. Of course. Is this a sign from star clan to redeem herself from her embarrassing act a few weeks ago or was this to tease her into failing once more but in front of another warrior this time. Maybe this would be her eternal punishment until her death. To never catch a single rabbit and just have them flock around her like some kind of sick joke.
Well she wasn't about to let that happen. She shifted under her paws and went after the rabbit, not running though. She just followed the scent of where it ran off to, pausing after a moment to crouch down low. She could see the fluffy menace through some of the tall blades of grass, her ears were perked up and her body was almost pressed completely on the earth. She could feel the tension in her muscles, it almost began to ache after a while but she took one inch forward. Then another. Her tail dragging behind her just a hair's length off the ground. She had to remember how the warriors taught her how to crouch and hunt. She had to mimic what she has seen so she didn't end up in another muddy puddle. Her claws were itching to sink into that furry body, to actually come back with the hare and not that silly little mouse would be a blessing.
She paused when the rabbit perked, seeming to look in her direction. She froze, pressing herself to the ground completely and waited for a split second. Look away, please. she begged star clan silently in her head. But the begging didn't seem to work, for the rabbit s[rang forward and out of it's spot. She let out a low growl, springing on after it. She figured out then, she hated rabbits. She hated their little bodies that had just as long as legs as she did. She didn't want to chase after it, she wanted to give up and just sulk back to Hollyvine and tell her she didn't catch anything and she lost the darn mouse too. She had to actually stretch further then she wanted to keep up with the rabbit. Well if hunting didn't turn out to be her best maybe she could rely on her skills of running around in the future...

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw A few moments after the rabbit dashed off, she heard something come speeding her direction. "What the-" she cut herself off by stalking forward, ears pricked and her curiosity painted on her face. She turned her head to where it was coming from, and then suddenly the hare she had just chased off sped past her. Confused, she backed up. It was just speeding off the other way she thought?
But then, the familiar body of Thistlepaw zoomed past her as well, obviously in chase of the rabbit. This peaked her interest. She sat down and curled her tail around her paws, keeping her ears pricked and hoping to hear if she would catch it or not. Hollyvine waited, offering no aid on purpose, and prayed to Starclan that she could catch it. She knew it would make the she-cats day, so she hoped she was either fast enough or the rabbit was slow enough for her to catch up. 'Come on, Thistlepaw. You got it.' She cheered in her head.

Thistlepaw was close to just giving up, she really was. Her body was getting tired and she didn't want to chase after the darn thing anymore. It was starting to look like she would but, Hollyvine would be expecting her to come back with something didn't she? She couldn't give up right now. Not when the story of her falling into a big puddle of mud was still lingering in her head. Her darn pride was on the line with this rabbit. She forced herself to stretch just a bit further and to run a bit faster, her claws digging into the dirt and kicking up bits nd pieces as she ran after the rabbit. It tried taking sharp turns and sudden turn around but she was just as smart. her body turned when the bunny turned, her eyes pinned on the fluffy running piece of meat. Just a bit more and she could have it. Just a bit faster and she could come back to Hollyvine with the rabbit in tow and forget about the darn mouse once and for all. She would be able to tell the other apprentices of how she was able to catch the rabbit while Hollyvine was there to watch. She would be able to cover up the story of the mud puddle and tell Graysmoke all about it.
She turned sharply when the rabbit took a sudden twist, and for a moment her legs scrambled to keep herself up right, sliding along the ground like it was ice beneath her paws and not dirt. But the rabbit was right there. She pushed herself forward, and gave chance a risk before leaping forward and letting her claws rake against the rabbits hind legs. The rabbit was startled and was pushed off it's course, giving her the chance to let her other claws sink into the soft fur. The rabbit gave a little shriek before Thistlepaw was able to bite into its neck. She never liked that sound, of the animal screeching before it was put to rest. But then again it was replaced by the feeling of victory after she realized that she caught the darn thing. It wasn't as messy or sloppy as the mouse but she caught it, maybe star clan took pity on her and felt the need to just give her this one rabbit so she didn't feel so bad about the other pieces of prey she would loose after this.
She dragged it by it's neck back the way they had come, which wasn't that hard. She just had to look for kicked up pieces of dirt from her little chase around the field. When she did find Hollyvine, she was scampering over like a little kit, so excited she nearly tripped on the rabbit over to the warrior. "I gof fhe raffit, I gof fhe raffit!" She said around the prey stuck in her mouth, lifting her head up as if to prove it. "Fee? Fee?" She came closer to Hollyvine in order to give her a little in depth view of the dead rabbit, like she had to prove it was dead.

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine tried to listen closely, but the prey and Thistlepaw had run out of earshot. She waited patiently, kneading the ground a bit. While waiting, she decided to get her robin quickly before the apprentice returned, hopefully with the hare in her jaws. The robin wasn't far off, so it didn't take long to get it. Blowing the dirt off the wings of the bird, she picked it up by the neck and returned to the same spot she left from.
It was just a few seconds later that Thistlepaw came bouncing up to her with the rabbit in her jaws, meowing excitedly like a kit. Hollyvines eyes widened in surprise, yet they were filled with happiness. "Good job, Thistlepaw!" She meowed, matching the apprentices excitement. Hollyvine wanted to be just as happy for her as she was for herself, just so she wouldn't ruin the moment for the apprentice.
"Come on, let's get back to camp so you can brag to everyone that you caught it but I couldn't." She meowed, picking up her bird, which was very measly compared to the decent-sized hare that Thistlepaw chased down. With a smile, she began to head off towards camp, looking back to make sure the younger she-cat was following.

Thistlepaw perked her ears at the thought of bragging. "Youf helf mef thougf! Youf can takf it" She tried to say around the rabbit, not wanting to brag about how she caught it and not Hollyvine. Hollyvine was a warrior and she was a apprentice. She shouldn't brag about something like that, she was a novice compared to the warrior. "It wasf luck" She added, dragging the rabbit as she walked beside Hollyvine. Thistlepaw didn't enjoy the idea of bragging at all actually, she didn't want to boast about how she caught one rabbit when other cats probably caught more then she ever will. She didn't try to ask a question to Hollyvine since her jaw was full of fluff, and most of it would come out as grabbled gibberish. She could ask afterwards though, maybe she could see if Hollyvine would be up to taking her out on a patrol one of these days so she could explore more of the territory and maybe mingle with other apprentices.
She enjoyed Hollyvines company, she found the warrior easy to talk to. Thistlepaw stayed close to Hollyvines side as they walked back, her paws avoiding the rabbits furry body as they padded back to camp. She just wanted to make sure that everyone forgot about the rabbit and the muddy puddle situation that was all. Not like a lot knew about in the first place, only Graysmoke and Hollyvine knew about the story, unless someone else had seen her fallen into the mud. Or if she told someone else, she didn't really keep track of stories she's told cats. But this rabbit could feed a few cats at best which was all Thistlepaw could hope for out of catching prey. But just because she caught one rabbit didn't change her mind on her idea of hunting. She didn't like it, not as much as climbing up trees or just being around other cats. She hated the idea of killing another thing, she hated the idea of fighting and....
Well she was thinking more like a kitty pet then she was a warrior. What warrior didn't like hunting or fighting? Maybe she wasn't the only one, maybe some other warrior didn't like hunting and fighting. She will keep these thoughts strictly to herself, for the time being of course

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine chuckled. "I wouldn't say I helped." She disagreed with a shrug. She was talking through feathers, but the bird was small enough that she could still speak somewhat clearly. "I just chased it off. You probably would have scented it if I hadn't." She meowed. Hollyvine certainly didn't want the credit if she wasn't the one to catch it. "And no, I won't take it. You gave it the killing bite, right? It's your prey, you should be proud of yourself." She encouraged as they walked.
Hollyvine was a little taken aback by Thistlepaws sudden change in attitude. She was so happy to catch it but now she was being extremely humble. Shrugging, Hollyvine decided to push the thoughts away;It was probably nothing. She began to recall how she felt as an apprentice, catching prey and being so amused when she saw another warrior eat what she caught. She remembered feeling so joyful, and feeling like the clan needed her. She only hoped Thistlepaw would feel the same when she saw a clan mate eat her prey.
Glancing at the young cat, and giving a slight chuckle at the fact that she was having a little trouble carrying it, she was glad that she decided to take Thistlepaw with her. She was fun to be around, and Hollyvine didn't feel as shy around her as she did with others. She hoped she may be chosen to finish her training, since her last mentor couldn't finish it.

Thistlepaw could only nod slightly to the warriors words, keeping her head up high so she won't trip over the rabbit in her jaws. She wondered how Hollyvine thought about this little hunting trip, was Thistlepaw a good companion to have around? Was she annoying? She wished she was a mind reader, or that her jaws were free of rabbit so she could ask. She had a lot of questions to ask but sadly none of them would be coming out of her mouth at the moment. When the two she-cats arrive at camp, the first thing she did was hurry over to the fresh kill pile and drop the rabbit. She spat out any fur that was caught on her tongue, glad that she didn't have to lug around the weight of the rabbit anymore and she didn't have to trip over her own paws. Maybe she needed to work on building some muscle on her bones after carrying around that rabbit. Or maybe work on her hunting skills some more who knows.
She just knew that she needed to work on well everything, nothing was really clean and she wasn't an expert with anything yet. The thoughts of her actually being a warrior who didn't enjoy doing what a warrior does kind of worried her but surely it was just a phase she was going through. Maybe it was just a part of every warriors life when they go through being a apprentice. That they don't enjoy hunting or fighting and rather just run around and help others with whatever it is they can help with. Whatever the reason, it had to be something. She would grow out of it by the time she was ready to become a warrior.
When she dropped off the rabbit she turned back around to head straight back to Hollyvine, a grin coming to her face. "Thank you for taking me with you hunting Hollyvine" She said, being a polite little she-cat like she was taught by her mother. "I actually really needed to get out and stretch my legs after being cooped up in here. Maybe I could join you again on a patrol or something, that is if you want me to." She meowed, adding the last part quickly so not to seem clingy.

x-- Hollyvine Silverclan - To Thistlepaw Hollyvine followed her hunting partner into camp and to the fresh-kill pile, where she placed her bird next to Thistlepaws rabbit. She couldn't help but compare the two pieces of prey, noticing how the rabbit was much larger. Most warriors would feel ashamed, but Hollyvine felt proud of Thistlepaw. After hearing her story about her first rabbit chase, it was nice to know that she was part of her first successful rabbit hunt. Turning her head, she smiled as Thistlepaw spoke to her, glad that she enjoyed their hunting trip.
"Of course! And I as well, staying in camp too long can get really boring, and it makes me feel lazy." She admitted, which was only part of the reason why she was rarely found in camp. "And of course. The next time I go on patrol, I'll make sure to find you. It was fun talking with you." She meowed sincerely, dipping her head before stuffing her nose in the fresh-kill pile, looking for something tasty.

"Here outside, it's just you and I, I couldn't love you more if I tried. It's crystal clear, as we disappear; swimming in the moonlight."❈ ─ sollux ─ ❈ "Yeah, I guess so." A chuckle came from her as she looked away. However, Foxtrot grinned as she realized that Gorseleaf too had caught a fish, to which she responded to his statement. "Of course she will!" She mewed excitedly, "We'll be supplying the clan with fish for a while, especially with the lack of it!" She tilted her head, the smile still evident on her facial features, but she quickly turned her attention back onto the water as she relaxed. "I'm sure a few more wouldn't hurt, right?" It was more of a rhetorical question, and she didn't wait for a yes or no from him, instead focusing on the water again, determined to catch some more. It took a few moments for the fish to return back to normal from their frightened state; she couldn't blame them, they'd just caught two of them and nearly caught one. There were many swimming past, Foxtrot licking her lips as she lowered herself slightly, lifting a paw and unsheathing her claws. As one fish neared the surface, causing a ripple in the water, the feline struck, tossing it into the air and onto the riverbank, where she quickly ended its life and set it near the other two fish they had caught just moments before. Her tail flicked side to side as she focused again, managing to catch yet another one, this time bigger than the second. "Would this be enough?" She questioned, "I fear that if we catch too many we won't be able to bring it all back in one go, and I wouldn't want to risk the loss of prey right about now." Her ears perked at the chirping birds nearby, but she knew they'd be a mission to catch, so she tuned them out and sighed.

gorseleaf shapeless, we move, unwinding the wires between ▲ warrior | 34 moons | energized The tom resumes his hunting after the idle chat, feeling more comfortable with the younger warrior than he was before. He has tried to be forthcoming and pleasant during their patrol, and his efforts appear to be paying off — neither of them share their awkward demeanor as they did prior to their hunting, and conversation flows freely between them. Even if said conversation is simply about their endeavors, it's still progress. With this thought, Gorseleaf turns back towards the bubbling water. The fish beneath the surface are scarce and skittish, likely due to his and Foxtrot's hunting. He pauses with his companion, waiting for relative calm to return to the creatures beneath the surface. Once he feels that the prey are no longer troubled, he waits for the opportunity to strike. A fish presents itself to him almost immediately, and he strikes with precision to get it out of the water. Once it falls onto the bank, Gorseleaf bites into its soft body and places it onto the modest pile they have accumulated. Foxtrot has caught two more fish, and the gray tom curls his tail with satisfaction of their catch. "Yeah, I think this is more than enough. I still have that mouse buried in the forest; I'll pick that up on the way back," he mews, nosing the prey pile that they have accumulated. "The clan will eat well today. I hope this luck lasts through leaf-bare." His comment is morose; he fears the shortage of prey during the colder seasons of the year, and he fears for the lives of his clanmates should they not be able to provide enough food for the growing number of cats. Gorseleaf heaves a soft sigh before picking up two fish — dangling them by their tails, but careful not to hold them by just their fins. "Shall we return," he inquires, voice muffled by the prey in his mouth. The tabby's tail rises high behind him, tip flicking gently side to side. table code written by sollux
