Pineclaw purred at the praise of his apprentice. He then turned to Silverstar and said, "Thank you, Silverstar. I accept the position of deputy. What shall my first deputy task be?"
Spiritpaw felt very proud of Pineclaw. 'Silverstar chose wisley for having Pineclaw as her deputy.'

"Hmmm...Leafclaw, Nightwillow and Spiritpaw," Pineclaw selected. He said it loud enough for the chosen warriors to hear. "You have been chosen for tomorrow's dawn patrol. I expect you to be out and about at the first light of morning," Pineclaw commanded. "Silverstar," he said turning towards her, "if you like, you can come along the patrol."
'Awesome! I'm chosen for the dawn patrol!' Spiritpaw thought as Pineclaw chose him for the patrol. He had been in a patrol only one other time, so he was excited. "Make sure you get a good night's rest. I prefer not to take along tired cats," Pineclaw told the warroirs, which snapped Spiritpaw back to reality. 'In that case, it's kinda late...i should probably go to sleep now.' At that, he went to the empty apprentice den and curled up in his moss nest and slowly drifted off to sleep.

At Silverstar's dismissal, Pineclaw went to the warrior's den for sleep. It was quite late. 'Sunset,' Pineclaw thought. With that, he went to the warroirs den, climbed into his nest and slowly drifted off to sleep.
